What is the weather like this time of year in Destin, Florida?

The average temperature in Destin, FL in April is a high of 76 degrees and a low of 61 degrees.

Are kids welcome?

If listed on your invitation, yes! Otherwise, while we absolutely love the little ones, wedding weekend events will be adult-only. If necessary, we can help connect you to local babysitters to watch your children during the events!

When is the RSVP deadline? Do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online?

The RSVP deadline is one month out from the wedding: March 13, 2024.

Please RSVP online through this website to help us account for all guests more efficiently.

How do I know if I have a plus one?

The wedding is RSVP only, and we will only be able to accommodate those with names specifically listed on your invitation. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to either of us!

Where do you recommend I stay?

In Destin, there are a variety of options and we highly encourage you to stay in and around the Destin area. Please see the information about travel and hotel accommodations in the “Travel” section of the website.

There are codes for you to directly book a room at the Henderson Beach Resort as well as nearby hotels.

If you book an AirBNB or through VRBO, we encourage you to book in Destin and Scenic Hwy 98 / Miramar Beach so you are near the action. Other places to consider that are still very close are the Destin Harbor and Sandestin— outside of those, other areas will be further and traffic from east (30A) or west (Fort Walton Beach. Navarre, Pensacola) of Destin can occur due to all of the current road construction and high volume of visitors during the spring season.

April is considered “peak season” and we encourage you to book your accommodations quickly, as there are high volumes of travelers to the area and many events that take place in the area around this time.

Where are the ceremony and reception located?

Both the ceremony and reception will take place at The Henderson Resort in Destin, Florida. The ceremony will take place near the beach on the Eastside Green and the reception will take place on The Grand Lawn at the main resort. The resort will provide directional wedding signage at the venues to help guests find their way.

What time should I arrive to the ceremony?

We recommend that you arrive to the resort at least 30 minutes before the start of the ceremony to ensure everyone is on time and we can get the party started as scheduled. The walk from the resort to the beach where the ceremony will take place takes about 5 to 10 minutes. If you're early early, you can enjoy a cocktail beforehand at Horizons bar located just next to the lobby in the resort!

Where should guests park?

On wedding day, guests can complimentary valet their vehicle at the entrance to The Henderson. Valets will also be able to direct guests to self-park on the resort property.

Uber or Lyft are also widely available in the area if you wish to not drive.

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Both the ceremony and reception will be completely outdoors. Please plan your attire accordingly!

Can I take pictures of the wedding on social media?

We respectfully ask that you turn off your phone, iPad, tablet, and camera during the ceremony. However, we DO encourage guests to take pictures before or after the ceremony and throughout the reception and sharing the photos with us so we can relive the day afterwards!

What happens after the ceremony?

After the ceremony, guests will enjoy a cocktail hour with specialty cocktails, beer, wine, and bites on the Grand Lawn as the wedding party takes pictures nearby. After the cocktail hour, we’ll begin the reception where there will be dinner and dancing until 10:00 PM.

As Destin has a local noise ordinance requiring that all outdoor parties end at 10 PM, guests are welcome to move inside the resort after the reception to Horizons Bar (located next to the lobby) for drinks until 11 PM.

Are there other events I should be aware of throughout the weekend?

All guests are invited to an informal Welcome Party Friday night from 8-10pm on the Henderson's Sunset Terrace space, which is located right outside the resort's lobby. There will be a cash bar and the attire will be casual/come as you are! We would just love to catch up with our favorite people!

What is the dress code for the wedding?

The wedding attire is semi-formal/cocktail attire.

Men are encouraged to wear a suit (tie recommended but not required) and women are encouraged to wear knee length, tea length, or midi dresses.

All wedding day events will be fully outdoors and on grass lawns.

For inspiration, the wedding colors are sunset-like - peach, pink, coral, light orange etc., and the wedding party will be in midi dresses and in tan suits.

While NOT required at all, you are more than welcome to dress within the color palettes below or a complimentary color of their choice!
