Outside of the Henderson, here are some places in the Destin area we highly recommend you try and find your way to sometime during your stay:

WHERE TO EAT

Harbor Docks:

Harbor Docks has been a Destin tradition since 1979. They’ve been offering fresh food, and more importantly, fresh, local seafood, since the restaurant’s inception. Their food is made from scratch and with a lot of love. They catch it, clean it, and then cook it. It doesn’t get any fresher. They also have the best sushi bar in town.

Camille’s:

Camille’s is Harbor Docks’ sister restaurant and is located within walking distance of The Henderson. It’s comfortable and classic Destin. Serving up the same fresh seafood and sushi as Harbor Docks, Camille’s also has a small sidewalk café downstairs from the restaurant which offers smoothies, coffee, breakfast lunch, and a walk up bar with live music in the afternoon and evening – a perfect spot to hit up before or after a beach day.

Crab Trap:

Another Destin staple, The Crab Trap is located right on the beach and is always a fan favorite of any visitor making their way to the Emerald Coast. Located just a mile and half east of The Henderson, The Crab Trap is easy going and great place for a relaxed dinner after the beach – they also have a great tiki bar right on the beach.

Boshamps

Boshamps is located in the heart of Destin, and serves up the most delicious Gulf to Table Southern Cuisine. Besides the amazing food and drinks, the view of the Destin Harbor cannot be beat. Sit outside on one of the 4 decks (we recommend the top deck), enjoy good food, live music, and a cool, salty breeze, while watching the boats come in.

East Pass Coffee

East Past Coffee Co. is located in Destin, just across the street from the Destin Harbor. If you prefer a local coffee shop to a chain, this is the place for you. It’s the quaintest little coffee and breakfast shop in town.

Other Incredible Spots for Food & Drinks:

Dewey Destin’s Restaurant

Chan’s Wine Bar

Craft Bar

Pompano Joes

McGuire’s Irish Pub

Bitterroot

WHAT TO DO

La Dolce Vita Boat Rentals

Feel like having an afternoon on the water? We have to recommend renting a pontoon from La Dolce Vita and cruising over to Crab Island. Crab Island is a sandbar that is located just north of the Marler Bridge in Destin, FL. Crab Island started to gain in popularity as boaters used the area to anchor their boats to catch some rays and wade on the sandbar. Now Crab Island has erupted into a popular social scene where locals and tourists congregate for fun and sun. Crab Island is just minutes from the Destin Harbor.

Regatta Bay Golf Course

Regatta Bay Golf Course is a beautiful golf course located in the heart of Destin – just a few minutes from The Henderson where the wedding festivities will be held. Regatta is one of the top ranked courses in the area and open to the public.

Other nearby Golf Courses include:

Kelly Plantation

Indian Bayou Country Club

Emerald Bay

The Track

Located in the heart of Destin right on Highway 98, The Track provides action packed family fun with 5 go-kart tracks, mini golf, blaster boats, thrill rides, kiddie rides, an arcade & more! Perfect for the kids or if you just want to feel like a kid again!
