Our Story

Our Story 💛

Picture of Our Story 💛
Connor and Kylie met years ago during a party, and were friends for years before they started dating. During the pandemic in 2020, they started talking more over Snapchat and eventually started video calling to play Minecraft together. Slowly, Kylie started catching feelings and Connor felt the same. Kylie, being the hopeless romantic that she is, said the first “I love you” in a joking sort of way, because she wasn’t sure how her love would react. To her surprise, he said it too! In May, they hung out in person for the first time ever. The two spent a day each week together throughout the entire summer, falling head over heels in love. Over the course of the year, they got to know one another better and in May of 2021, Kylie moved in with Connor and his cat, Archie! They were happy in their teeny tiny apartment. In September of 2022, they adopted a kitten together and named her Willow. The couple spent day after day with each other, still hopelessly in love and in May of 2023, at a castle in Toronto, Connor proposed and Kylie said yes! Now, they’re getting married so they can live their happily ever after together. 💛

Our first official date was at the Saratoga National Historical park next to my parent’s house! It was on May 14th, 2020. We got chipotle and sat on a bench next to the visitor’s center.

We spent many, many dates outside. Most of them took place at my parent’s house or at the park next to it. This picture is at the park overlooking the Hudson River.

Occasionally, we would head down to the Hudson River, (since it was so close to my house growing up) and swim in the water.

Once, we made cookies together! That was a fun day 🥹💛

On my 18th birthday, Connor took me out to Texas de Brazil! It was delicious 😋

Our first anniversary, we took a weekend trip to Rochester to visit the Children’s museum of play! That was a nostalgic trip for me because my family went there a few times when my siblings and I were young.

At the end of May 2021, I moved out of my parent’s house and in with Connor!

On September 21st, 2021, we adopted Willow together.

Willow and Archie became best friends ❤️

Our second anniversary, we headed back to the Saratoga National Historical park for Chipotle on our bench and a 5 mile hike!

We spent the whole summer of 2022 at the gym!

In July of 2022, we spent some time at Moreau, swimming and kayaking on the lake!

Little did I know at the time, Connor had already bought a ring 💍💛

Our third anniversary, we took a 6 hour road trip to Toronto, Canada! We saw the sights, we saw over 30 vineyards along the way, we saw the CN tower!! We stayed at a gorgeous hotel on the 39th floor. The first day of our trip, we totally got lost and had NO service because we didn’t realize we had to turn on roaming!
We eventually got to our hotel and got settled, then went to visit Ripley’s Aquarium! What a sight to see. We of course, got chipotle after the aquarium and then finished the night in the pool.
Saturday morning was spent in the pool again! We had planned on going out for breakfast but I failed to realize we needed reservations, so we ate homemade muffins instead. Then we got ready to meet up with our Canadian friends! They took us to Casa Loma where Connor proposed. It was wonderful! After the castle, we headed back to the hotel to get changed into fancy clothes and then headed to dinner at this incredibly delicious Japanese steakhouse called Holy Cow. It was so good!
Sunday morning we had plans to sleep in and leave late in the morning to head home, but Connor’s phone had other ideas. He woke up at 6:30am to a brick of a phone, so we promptly packed up and left by 7am. We had to use my phone for directions the whole way home. We started our 6 hour drive, got Arby’s at 10am, and then headed to the mall to get his phone fixed. Overall, an adventurous weekend that we both will never forget 💛

This is where Connor proposed!!
