Our Wedding

Corbin and Emily met in March of 2024 at their friends birthday party. They connected immediately through the love they share for their Catholic faith. Because of Corbin, Emily started attending weekday mass at Divine Mercy, the church Corbin told her about when they first met. After the first mass Emily attended at Divine Mercy, she met Anna, a now good friend, who invited her to come back for young adult events. Through these young adult events, Emily and Corbin kept running into each other and they started dating in May of 2024. Throughout dating, Emily and Corbin both knew, with the help of the Holy Spirit, that God was blessing their relationship and would continue to work through them. Through much discernment, Corbin proposed to Emily at Divine Mercy Parish on March 22nd, 2025. Corbin and Emily share a love for God in their Christian faith, playing music together, investing in their friends and family, meeting new people, traveling on mission, hiking & camping, playing pickleball, praying and going to mass together, and ultimately being disciples of Jesus Christ for the greater glory of God.

You can walk around inside, explore different shops and restaurants, and see a great view of the river and downtown Cincinnati.

Newport on the Levee

Braxton is a great bar in Covington, Kentucky that is kid friendly with lots of indoor seating. It's good spot to hang out and wait for the reception after the wedding mass.

The Devou Park overlook is one of our favorite spots to see the Ohio River, downtown Cincinnati, and Covington, KY. If the weather is nice, there are some great hiking and mountain biking trails throughout the park.

Scenic Overlook at Devou Park

This is, in our opinion, the most beautiful church in the tristate area. This cathedral was built between 1894 and 1915 and has one of the worlds largest stained glass windows. It was built to be a small replica of the famous Notre Dame Cathedral in France. The church is open for tours and quiet prayer from 9am-3pm. Daily mass is held at 8:15am.

Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption

This is another beautiful church in northern Kentucky that we love. Office hours are 9:30-4:30 on weekdays, except Wednesdays. Daily mass is held at 12:05pm, except on Wednesdays. We encourage attending a daily mass, even if you aren't Catholic! It's a beautiful experience.

Mother of God Roman Catholic Church

For those with kiddos, this could be a fun thing to the day before or after the wedding! In our opinion, it's expensive--so try to find some discounts online before you go.

Newport Aquarium

This is a great spot to go to the day before or after the wedding if you're from out of town. This building was the Cincinnati Union Station for passenger trains from 1933 to 1972. There is a history museum and a children's museum inside.

This hotel is close to the reception venue, so a great option if you don't want a long commute home after the celebration! **We changed this hotel selection. It is no longer Hampton Inn Dry Ridge** Our hotel block is listed under "Egbers" or "Kirksey". The group rate is $115/night pre-tax. You can book your room up to three weeks before the wedding. If you book later than that, the group rate will no longer apply.

*There is no hotel block for this hotel* This hotel is about 5 minutes away from Divine Mercy Parish/Sacred Heart Church where the wedding will be held, but about 30 minutes away from the reception. This hotel is close to all of the Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky attractions. It's a great choice if you're looking to walk around and explore Newport between the wedding mass and the reception!
