Colorado - Rock climbing and red rocks concert buddies start to become more than buddies!

Colorado - Our first ski season together! Evan gets his first splitboard and Corin gets her first touring skis. We get a taste of the backcountry and can't get enough.

Colorado - Corin quits her job, moves into her minivan, and takes off to Canada. Evan stays with her (wow!) and comes to visit for adventures. The long-distance period begins!

California - Instead of coming back to Colorado like she said she would, Corin accepts a 'temporary' job in California. Evan (still!!) sticks with her and continues to visit from Colorado

California - Evan also scores a 'temporary' job at Patagonia! And naturally spends his relocation stipend on a motorcycle. We move in together for the first time in Ojai. At this point, we thought we'd spend only a year in California with plans to hightail it back to Colorado when our contracts ended. Thinking our time was limited, we maximized weekends in the minivan, exploring the coast and Sierra Nevada mountains.

California - COVID strikes! Of all the places in the world to be stuck, Ojai was certainly not a bad one. We make some really low-quality bread and buy our first mountain bikes. We were lucky to live in a place where we could walk to trails and still get outside.

Nevada - I'll speed things up! Jobs fluctuate and there is uncertainty about the future of remote work. Ski season is approaching and we are itching to get back to the snow. Reno has a Patagonia office, so why don't we try that out and maybe we wont get fired? We move to Reno in January 2021

Nevada - Dang, Reno is actually pretty cool. And we really like mountain biking. Lets buy expensive bikes and stay here a while! We start to make more friends this year and Evan gets a new Patagonia job requiring him to be on-site in Reno.

Nevada - We settle into some routine and adulting with stable jobs. Lame! Cats are happy. But continue to go on lots of adventures, delving deeper into ski touring/biking and building our community in Reno. Even snuck in international trips to Norway, Italy, and Honduras. We master the art of draining our PTO balances to exactly 0.01 hours

Nevada - More of the same! Tahoe has its deepest ski season in recorded history, and we ski powder for months straight. Its one we will never forget!

Nevada - We participate in our first Burning Man, and quickly realize it will be the first of many. Around this time, we started to get antsy (truly, we are terrible at adulting!) and asked if we could take a 4-month sabbatical to go on an international adventure. We were shocked to get 'yes' as an answer! The planning begins...

Fiji - Our travels begin with a stopover in the Yasawa Islands for a week of ocean activities. Evan proposed at sunrise on our fourth day there! Not a bad way to kick off a 4-month adventure.

New Zealand - Te Araroa! The real adventure begins and we trek nearly 900 miles across the South Island of New Zealand. We meet new friends from all of the world and experience the unmatched freedom and community of thru-hiking. It was the hardest and most rewarding thing we've ever done. We spend nearly 3 months in New Zealand - 2 months on trail, and 3 weeks adventuring by car. Before heading home, we also spend 2 weeks on a motorbike trip around Palawan in the Philippines. Because why not?

Nevada - We return to Reno and decide to plant some roots here. We start looking at houses and end up buying the second one we saw - right on a massive mountain biking trail system! We start moving in May 2024, but never really finish thanks to weddings and summer travel. This fall, we are finally starting to get settled and shop for furniture. Wonder how long we will last before the next adventure....we think bike touring sounds kinda cool

Nevada - Adopted Toast and confirmed our wedding dates. Its been a good (hectic) week!
