Mac and I met back at Concordia…. September of 2020 My freshman year, I was living off campus in a house with 9 bedrooms + 8 roommates. One of my first weekends at the house, we all decided to throw a darty in our backyard. At some point through the day, This giant Mexican man with overall shorts on, stumbles over in his size 13 cowboy boots. Steals my cowgirl hat, puts it on. Plumps his big ole self next to me, and immediately had me laughing. At some point we separated and I said to my roommates I wanted his number and come to find out they all were his football teammates! They all thought it was the funniest thing, that I wanted his number and I remember not thinking it was funny at all - I now know exactly why they were laughing, as do most of you! Anyone who knows Cormac has the absolute luxury of knowing that he truly is the funniest person I have ever met. Not to mention Cormac has quite literally the most contagious genuine laugh you will ever come across. 🤎 Cormac asked me out on our first date to Sidetracks in Ypsilanti, Michigan - Where, from the get go, We’re able to be absolute goofballs with each other and have been inseparable since! We both knew pretty early on that we had found our forever person in each other. God truly could not have curated a better partner for either of us and we thank him daily for bringing us together so young. Mac, I am SO unbelievably excited we get to share our lives together!!!! I love you bunches handsome

Heidi's Version 

The first time I saw Heidi, my socks were knocked off. I was drinking with my buddies in there backyard and I saw a cowgirl hat that I just had to steal. So I marched over and snatched it off and put in on my noggin and sat next to this beautiful blonde named Heidi. To my surprise she loved my big brown self so I was in luck! She was a big jokester and had me cackling, Of course, not as much as I had her laughing! I was mainly shocked there could be a human this genuine and loving. Heidi, you continue to make me feel so loved and fulfilled every day. I'm so thankful God brought us together and I can't wait to grow old with you! I love you bunches Dragon Blossom

This is one of mine and cormac favorites spots to eat + drink at in Jackson! We probably come here more than any other place in Jackson :) They have the best cheese curds ever and a wide variety of other amazing food, they are have some fun cocktails! Cormac is a Mug club member here and it is a staple in Jackson Michigan!

Grand River Brewery - Jackson

This is super close to both hotels! They have every single type of food and drinks you can imagine and its fun busy place to go on the weekends! They also have a wonderful outdoor patio that gets A TON of shade.

One North Kitchen and Bar

This is a fun brewery downtown Jackson and has some very interesting fun artwork inside! Heidi is obsessed with their elote street corn dip, we order it every single time we go haha! She also loves their gnar gnar sour beer! Cormac mixes it up every time we go in and loves the majority of their beers!

Ogma Brewing Co.

Do not be fooled by this liquor store when you walk in! They make the absolute best deli style sandwhiches, soups, and decked out hot dogs! We live just around the corner from this local secret and We will never stop raving about how great their food and prices are! When you walk in, you have to walk all the way to the back and order at the deli counter and they will give you a ticket and your sandwhich and you can pay at the front counter! Make sure you check out the brewery in the same strip mall, they serve the same food!

Kibby Cobb Liquor and Deli

This brewery is in the same strip mall as Kibbey Cobb Deli and we think its one of the coolest spots in Jackson! They have the same food menu, plus some, as Kibbey Cobb and they actually run the food from the deli down a couple doors and serve it to you at your table in the brewery! We highly recommend you guys stop in here :) Cormac has a Mug here also and they have a wide variety of in-house brews that are super unique and tasty!

Ironbark Brewing Company

This is fun and low-key brewery in Jackson! Their beers are only 5$ and for the non beer drinkers, you can bring any unopened cans or bottles in to the brewer and they can pour it for you to drink at your table! The staff is so friendly here and they often times have fun food tucks and live music here on the weekends! Added bonus, you can also bring any food into the brewery and enjoy at your table!

127 Brewing

This local donut shop is cash only and makes undoubtedly some of the best donuts we have ever had! We highly recommend going here bright and early and ordering donut holes while they are still warm, you will not regret!!
