Our Wedding

Correen’s roots&nbsp;have always been in&nbsp;Buffalo, NY, while&nbsp;Tyler grew up&nbsp;under the&nbsp;California sun&nbsp;in Palmdale. Though they were from&nbsp;opposite sides of the country, their paths crossed in&nbsp;Los Angeles&nbsp;during the pandemic at a cozy neighborhood spot in Burbank —&nbsp;Champs Sports Pub&nbsp;— where Correen happened to be&nbsp;bartending that night. Tyler couldn’t help but notice her and asked his friend,&nbsp;“What’s her deal… is she single?”&nbsp;From that moment,&nbsp;he knew he had to pursue her. Their&nbsp;first date&nbsp;was the beginning of something special. Correen planned what she thought would be the&nbsp;perfect evening— starting with drinks and darts, followed by&nbsp;mini golf&nbsp;(since she knew golf was Tyler’s thing). But when the course was backed up for hours,&nbsp;Tyler came up with an even better idea.&nbsp;They ended up&nbsp;go-kart racing, laughing until their cheeks hurt, with a spontaneous stop for&nbsp;Micheladas&nbsp;along the way. What started as a simple date turned into an&nbsp;unforgettable adventure&nbsp;— one that&nbsp;set the tone for their relationship. From there,&nbsp;life together unfolded naturally.&nbsp;They shared countless memories, became&nbsp;dog parents&nbsp;to their sweet girl,&nbsp;Dixie, and soon realized that&nbsp;home was wherever they were together.&nbsp;Eventually, they packed up their lives in California and made the&nbsp;3,000-mile journey&nbsp;to Buffalo to start their next chapter. Together, they built&nbsp;new careers, bought a home — with the&nbsp;Buffalo Bills’ new stadium practically in their backyard&nbsp;— and created a life filled with&nbsp;love, laughter, and dreams of the future. Then, on a&nbsp;magical trip to Switzerland, Tyler gave Correen the&nbsp;surprise of a lifetime.&nbsp;At the breathtaking&nbsp;Waldhaus Flims, he asked her to spend forever with him. It was a proposal&nbsp;straight out of a fairytale, marking the beginning of their&nbsp;forever story. Now, they can’t wait to bring all of their closest&nbsp;family and friends&nbsp;together in a place so close to Correen’s heart —&nbsp;her parents’ backyard&nbsp;— to celebrate the&nbsp;love that began in California,&nbsp;grew across 3,000 miles, and will&nbsp;last a lifetime.

Our story began in tap class, of all places. Cara was the one with the rhythm and the moves… and I was just doing my best to keep up! She got paired with me to go over the steps, and while I may not have nailed the routine, I walked away with something even better — a best friend.
From that day on, our friendship took off — filled with dance competitions, sleepovers, spring breaks, and a million inside jokes and late-night laughs.
As we grew up and life took us in different directions, we beat the odds — the kind that say distance can make or break a friendship. We proved the world wrong. Even 3,000 miles apart, our bond only grew stronger. She’s the one I turn to for everything — the first person I call with good news, bad news, or when I just need someone who gets me without explanation.
You don’t find friendships like this every day. Cara isn’t just a friend; she’s my chosen family.
I truly can't imagine this day without her by my side — just like she’s always been.

Tyler and BJ have been friends since 8th grade, where they bonded over skateboarding and questionable hair choices. Over the years, they traded skateboards for golf clubs, played in a league together, and even worked at a golf course — though Tyler used to have the edge, BJ has since taken over as the better player (he’ll remind you if you forget).
Now living on opposite coasts, they stay in touch through golf trips, Call of Duty, and sending each other swing memes. Whether it’s on the course or over a headset, BJ’s been a steady part of Tyler’s life — and now he’s here as his best man, ready to tee it up one more time.

From the moment I found out I was going to be an aunt, I knew it would be one of the best days of my life. I’ll never forget being on my way to spring break in PCB and telling my friends, “We can’t leave until I know the baby is here and healthy.” And that morning, my perfect little niece Cheyanne came into the world. From the start, she was my mini-me — sitting with me while I got ready, asking for more lipstick, and always hearing me say “less is more.” Now she’s 13, still my best friend, and someone who means more to me than words can say. Having her by my side as my junior bridesmaid is a full-circle moment I’ll cherish forever. I couldn’t imagine this day without her.

Kids — While we absolutely adore your little ones, we’ve decided to keep our wedding an adults-only celebration. We hope this gives all our guests—especially the amazing parents—a chance to relax, enjoy the evening, and maybe even dance the night away without worrying about snack time or bedtime routines. Plus-Ones — While we’d love to celebrate with everyone, we kindly ask that invitations be limited to those named on the invitation. Thank you so much for understanding. Parking — Our neighbors are generously allowing guests to park in their yard. That said, if you know anything about the soon-to-be Lanes, you already know—it’s going to be a party! 🎉 We kindly recommend carpooling or using Uber or Lyft to and from the celebration.
