Our Wedding

We are Courtney and Eugene, two souls who found each other in the most unexpected of places – on a dating app called Bumble. What started as a simple swipe of the phone turned into a deep connection that neither of us could have predicted. From the beginning, we knew there was something special about what we were building. It was about everything we had yet to discover about one another, the journey ahead, and the family ties that would bring us even closer.&nbsp;

Introduction to “Us”

Our story began with a series of messages, phone conversations, laughs, and dates. But it wasn’t long before we realized there was something more. It wasn’t just the easy conversations or the late-night texts. It was how we made each other feel seen, heard, and understood. Still, communication was a challenge for us, as it often is in the beginning. We were two busy people trying to figure out how to balance our time and build something meaningful.&nbsp;Both of us working on a future that we would later realize that the work we were putting in was for each other.&nbsp;

The Early Days

There was something that really made us connect and work. As we spent more time together, our relationship started to grow not just in moments, but in depth. The biggest shift for us was in how we communicated. We learned that communication wasn’t just about talking – it was about really listening to each other. We worked hard to understand each other’s needs, our thoughts, and being open about our vulnerabilities. We didn’t just care about the easy things – we learned to care about the tough conversations the disagreements, and the moments of silence in between. Our bond deepened not through grand gestures but through the support we showed each other every day in life.&nbsp;

Growth of the Relationship

Eugene had a plan — and it was wrapped in twinkle lights and Christmas magic. On Christmas night, December 25th, 2023, he took Courtney to Longwood Gardens. It was Eugene’s first visit back since he was a kid, Courtney’s first time ever, and most importantly, it was their very first time experiencing it together.Why Longwood Gardens? Well, Eugene knows Courtney is a firm believer that Christmas is the most magical, wonderful time of the year (and not just because the song says so). So, really, proposing there was less of a decision and more of a “duh” moment.Under thousands of sparkling lights, Eugene got down on one knee and popped the question. Courtney said “yes” — but she also insists that the proposal was only the second-best Christmas gift she’s ever received. The best Christmas gift was Eugene himself, because he first asked her to be his girlfriend on December 17th, 2020. (Yes, he set the boyfriend bar high from the start.)And so, the girl who loves Christmas more than almost anything… got the one gift that will last forever.&nbsp;

The Proposal

As we look toward the future, our biggest goal is simple but meaningful: to create a home of our own. We dream of purchasing a house – a space that will be just ours. A place where we can build a family, fill rooms with love, laughter, and memories. We want a house that’s not just made of bricks and walls, but of dreams, plans, and the promise of a future together.&nbsp;But it’s more than the house. It’s about what we’re building within those walls – a life rooted in love, respect, and shared dreams. Our story is just beginning, but we know that with each passing day, we are building something that will last forever.&nbsp;
