Our story began about 6.5 years ago when we met in the Fall of 2018 during our Senior year of high school while competing in the Kansas High School Rodeo Association. After a hilarious first date at a haunted house where Carlie was 45 minutes late and Coy didn’t speak the entire time, we began dating not long after—it must’ve been fate because Coy doesn’t do tardiness and Carlie likes to talk. Despite living 7 hours apart, we never went long without seeing each other. While Carlie was attending Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas, we made frequent trips back and forth in between rodeos and classes. A couple of years later, we added a wild weenie dog named Oliver and a sweet blue heeler named Tuck to our fun & adventurous lives! Fast forward through a lot of rodeos and even more miles spent in a vehicle, Coy proposed to Carlie while taking the dogs on a walk in the pasture at their house in May of 2024—it was the most “us” proposal possible🤍 We’re so blessed to have been brought together and beyond excited for all that life holds!
