Our Story

Once upon a time...

Picture of Once upon a time...

Their story began on a lucky Friday the 13th, of July 2007. Crysta's dearest friend Alyssa dragged her along to a Reel Big Fish show in Philly. It was there that she was first introduced to the dreamy front man wearing a wild white suit. He apparently had sniffed her out before that though, quite literally. He was already in awe of her beauty and her sweet smelling perfume. The 2 hit it off and spent the entire evening talking, & hanging out while enjoying each other's silly humor. Against all odds, different coasts, and even losing touch, fate brought them back together. They never gave up on love and here they are nearly a decade later finally ready for their "happily ever after".

How he proposed...

Last Christmas after opening presents Aaron reached for one more gift tucked behind the Christmas tree and handed it to Crysta. There was a gift tag, marked "to: Harry, from: Lloyd". Crysta opened it to find a Samsonite briefcase. This was wonderful and significant enough because it was in reference to their favorite movie Dumb & Dumber. They both loved the film and must have watched it a hundred times together. They even dubbed themselves Harry & Lloyd and the past Halloween dressed up as their characters. Crysta began examining the briefcase interior, saying how she could use it to stow makeup brushes but then she seen the note. There was an IOU, just like in the film.. But this IOU was an IOU for an engagement ring he later gave her. It was clever, witty and amazing and she couldn't have asked for a better man or (Lloyd) Christmas proposal. It's been a wonderful reminder that laughter makes the heart merry and to never, ever give up on love!

The happy couple didn't have to look far for a wedding venue. Their first thought was "obviously we will have both the ceremony and reception at the Madonna Inn!" It's been a favorite place of theirs for years and they visit quite often! The magical hotel with it's whimsical decor and enchanting setting makes the perfect place for a true fairytale wedding.
