Best friend since age 5. Fierce boy-raising mom. & the only person who would skip full days of school with me, multiple days a week, because I wasn't feeling "highschool-y" that day. From bringing alcohol and roaches in her Winnie the Pooh suitcase to our sleepovers, to helping me survive every phase of life - I simply wouldn't be me if not for her. One to Watch Because... she rapped her speech at my last wedding (*ahem*) and is on strict orders to top that!

The only other time in my life a dating/friendship app worked out for me (Kevin being the other)! Meeting Shauna felt like friendship fate. We met at a time when my life was chaos. Having only met twice, she offered me her home while she was away so I could have alone time and took care of Jasmine for 6 weeks so I could be with my family and focus on bar exam prep. One to Watch Because... she might actually be an angel? I'm not certain she's of this world and am constantly looking for proof of same.

I've had the pleasure of knowing Claire since kindergarten and growing up a block away from her. She's had the displeasure of knowing me through my couldn't keep a secret, alcohol-pushing, mean girl phase. Some friendships can't go the distance when you're polar opposites, but ours survived my "I just want to be older" phase and her simultaneous "I just want to stay young" phase (& the dumb turtle/penguin on a sled shirt that accompanied it), and we re-connected over a shared love of pole dance and boxing! One to Watch Because... if she's at the wedding, she is two days past her due date and we might just get a wedding and a birth in one!

Irina and I went to law school together and lived together in 2L. Without her spending an hour after every business law class explaining the concepts to me using "Irina Corp." examples, I might never have become a lawyer. We encouraged each other to do our readings with a whiteboard checklist, and a reward system involving wine and Love Island. This tiny, bossy, Romanian queen has been pushing me to be a better me since the day we met. One to Watch Because... when she drinks wine she tends to monologue super nice things about you. I met Lluvia when my family blended with my stepfamily in my early teens. From my sister's "weird friend", to my wild party friend, to one of the best friends a girl could ask for. Her infectious good vibes have been bringing me joy for the last 16 years and our ridiculous adventures keep me smiling well after they end. While she will forever be disappointed in me for not becoming an environmental lawyer, I like to think I've made it up by not using one of the insane photos I have of her for this website. It's shocking some of the looks this beauty can contort her face into. One to Watch Because... she's the literal life of the party! You can always find her by listening for the loudest, most full-body laugh you could ever imagine.

Growing up, I always dreamed of having a sister. In fact, I begged for one. Then, through the miracle that is blended families, I got three. They were so great, this just made me greedy for more, but of course my standards had dramatically risen. Enter Carly - beautifully authentic, hilarious and clever, totally thoughtful and a proven #TeamCy member. Sometimes I like her more than Kevin. The much-needed 5th member for our quintet of sisters. One to Watch Because... she is always calling Kevin out with witty one-liners and it's really not something you want to miss.

I met Alexis at 16 when I got a job at the piercing store she worked at. One afternoon, a couple months into her giving me the stink eye for being incompetent at my job, Kate Voegele came over the store speakers and we discovered our shared love for her melodious voice. This turned into a shared love for bad teen television, late night car sitting and people watching, non-stop tea drinking, and eventually, for each other. One to Watch Because... she'll have two-month-old twins, and she'll still be getting down on the dance floor. Use her as a gauge to determine if you're being old and lame - if she's still going, so to should you.

Jake has been one of Kevin's best friends for over 13 years. With a shared love of travelling, mma training, dark & stormies, and just general "shenanigans" as Jake likes to put it. Jake helped keep Kevin through many tumultuous relationships/breakups. The two also had nearly daily walks together during COVID to keep sane. Jake always brings perspective, levity and dark humor to any situation. Truly a special lad. Together they've traveled to NY, Iceland, Japan, the Philippines, and Mexico....site of the bad-oyster incident. Be sure to ask Jake all about it, for great weightloss tips. Jake is one of the best, most loyal and caring people in Kevin's life. Finally and most importantly, Jake was the one who pushed Kevin to date Cy. Kevin always spoke highly of "this cool lawyer chick" he was casually dating for months. Until Jake one day finally said "Dude, what are you waiting for? She's awesome and you only every rave about her. Don't be an idiot". Kevin then stopped being an idiot....

Kevin first met Austin after he and Cy made it official that they were dating. Immediately they became friends with a shared love of movies, comics, politics and debating the Alien cinematic universe cannon. Austin, like the rest of the Nisbetts, has been extremely warm and welcoming. Kevin's stoked to have another little brother...although with the current fro, Austin may actually be taller.

Never play Ryan in a game of monopoly nor the game of Life, especially as a former banker . It will end poorly. Although mutual friends for years, Kevin and Ryan became close buds during a snowboarding trip to Mnt Baker in 2011. Weeks later Kevin was invited to Ryan's bachelor party, and they've been the best of friends ever since. Ryan is one of the most intelligent people in Kevin's life, often his go to source for advice. However, when mixed with tequila, similar to water and gremlins, Ryan is a fantastic agent of chaos. Like Jake, Ryan and Kevin have traveled the world, from NYC, Chicago, Boston, LA, Mexico, to Vietnam. Ryan and his wife Naj recently celebrate the birth of their first born daughter Nia. One day she'll hear from Uncle Kev all the mischief of her father's adventures

Also known as mini, Neil is Kevin's younger brother. They grew up all over the world together, always having to be the new kids in a new school almost annually. Sharing in the burden of a nomadic childhood, they've always had each others back. Neil has always been the tougher and harder worker of the two. Kevin was always a better talker and able to get around working. Although Neil is shorter, Kevin looks up to his little brother in alot of ways. He's very successful, a better golfer and lacrosse player, and has demonstrably better Seinfeld knowledge (a staple show in the Lockwood household). He's looking forward to tearing up the dancefloor, and if possible, getting as many as possible to shotgun a beer

Kevin first met Kelsey in first-year engineering at SFU. One of the first normal-ish people he encountered - although let's face it, no engineer is really normal. Kevin always resented how much less Kelsey seemed to have to work to succeed in engineering. What took Kevin hours of bashing his head into a textbook, Kelsey seemed to get right away. Later after university, the two reconnected playing on the infamous Garbage Bears hockey team. At the time, they shared the mutual experience of working at tech-startups and the impossible work hours associated with that life. Kelsey's always been a great source support in engineering. He's also gone on to great success and mediocre golfing, and was one in the special group of people to join Kevin on his 40th bday trip to his favourite place in the world - NYC. Kevin hopes to pay Kelsey back in helping him with his golf game.

Nate! Kevin first met Nate during a debaucherous houseboating trip in Salmon Arm. One of the few people taller than Kevin, Nate's presence commands an audience. A few years younger than Nate, Kevin always looked up to Nate. Constantly asking for advice and looking to parrot ideas, Kevin has never been led astray by Nate. Nate is another one of the Travel Lads, having been on trips all over the US and Japan. Nate's life advice along the way has truly shaped how Kevin lived his 30s and now into his 40s. His life is truly much richer for having known Nate. Nate is coming all the way from Japan to join the wedding and we should all be make efforts to cure his jetlag with forced shots.
