How We Met

Just over 5 years ago, we met each other in our favorite place we both like to spend our time, which was at the indoor soccer facility, Let's Play. Maddy actually made the first move, and she scored! And we've been playing together ever since!

On our first date, you would find us snowboarding on the greatest snow on Earth as they say, and Damir knew right away he found someone he knew he was missing. Like all the cliches about peas in a pod, we were it!

Our Background

Damir was born in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina in 1994. He came to the United States as a refugee in 1996, and has enjoyed his life here in Salt Lake City ever since.

Maddy was born in Cottonwood, Utah in 2001. She has English and Irish roots, and her family have been raised in the Latter Day Saints faith. On Easter, Maddy is excited to join the Catholic faith!
