Our love story began in Richmond, Virginia, back in 2016. To set the scene…Dan had just come back to visit his humble Richmond roots post 2016 Cavaliers Championship, feeling mighty confident and radiating bravado. After sitting down for a glass of Chardonnay with his friends & teammates at one of their favorite Richmond staples, Curbside, in walks Dana and sweeps Dan off his feet.

Needless to say the teammates were not too thrilled when two girls walked in and crashed their catch up (thank you for the ambush, Zachary Chu and Ali Lanasa), but this didn’t stop Dan in his pursuit. That weekend Dana and Dan spent a lot of time getting to know each other and their friends. A dinner Sunday evening before Dans departure back to The Land emphasized their mutual love of good food, good competition, and even better wine. After the second Richmond trip, they decided they needed to figure out if this was the real deal. Dana flew up to Cleveland, and despite the fierce winds and cold weather, she decided Dan was well worth it. 1.5 years later, Dana and Dan decided it was better than feeling right, so the San Diego native moved to Cleveland. And the rest is history!

2 years’ worth of memories later, 18 trips back and forth to Cleveland, big career changes, and welcoming one adorable Frenchie into our family, Mr. Stanley, they capitalized on their love for one another. About a year ago, Dan finally popped the question after an amazing dinner at a Tremont favorite. Following dinner was a tumultuous walk home, where Dan lured a very skeptical Dana to explore a local building (for good lighting for the photographer), Dan asked Dana to spend the rest of her life with him, and she said yes. We can’t wait for this exciting new chapter to begin!
