Can I bring a plus-one?
If your invite said "and Guest," then yes! However, we kindly ask that plus-ones be limited to significant others. Please include their name in your party when you RSVP.
When do I need to RSVP by?
The earlier the better! However, we understand a lot of thought and planning needs to go into making the decision on attending any international wedding. With that in mind, we ask that people please send in their response (and let us know if they’ll be bringing any plus-ones) before August. We’d love for everyone we invited to join us on this special day, but we also know it’s a big commitment and we will not begrudge anybody that cannot make it happen. For those people, we’ll celebrate a different time back home!
Will there be a shuttle service?
Yes! On the day of the wedding ceremony, buses will be provided to all guests (UNLESS you are staying in private accommodations not listed on this site). Of course, if you would prefer to drive to the wedding yourself with a rental car, that is perfectly fine as well. Parking is available onsite.
What time will the shuttle pick us up for the ceremony?
TBD. Pick-up times will be determined closer to the wedding date!
What time will the shuttle bring us back on the wedding night?
At the end of the wedding night, the buses will take guests back to their accommodations around 1 AM, but don't worry for all the early birds out there. An earlier shuttle pick-up will occur at 11 PM if you don't see yourself making it through the whole night.
Is the ceremony outdoors?
Yes! Barring rain, both the welcome dinner and wedding day (including dinner and the reception) are being planned as outdoor events.
Generally, autumn is a comfortably warm time in Tuscany (low-to-mid 70s) but it may get a little cooler in the evening (low 60s or high 50s) so consider bringing a light jacket just in case!
HOW MANY DAYS SHOULD I PLAN TO BE IN Italy?
Technically, we only need you for two days, but you made it all the way to Italy for us - make it a real trip! This time is intended to be a celebration of love, life, and family. While you could spend a month here and still not see everything, we recommend at least a few extra days to truly get a feel for this beautiful region!
What day will the bride and groom be arriving to Italy?
We will be flying out of Newark Airport the evening of Thursday, September 28th (United & Lufthansa, 8 hour overnight flight, nonstop), and landing in Milan the morning of September 29th. After landing, we will take a train toward the city of Florence.
Friday through Monday will be a mix of any last-minute planning, meetings with our vendors, bridal hair trial, and most importantly, sightseeing Florence with any friends and family who wish to arrive a few days early too!
Side note – Jersey people are more than happy to fly with us if there's room! The more the merrier! Shoot us a text message if you want to join our flight!
After lunch on Tuesday, October 3rd, we will pick up our car rental and drive down to the Tuscan hills, staying in one of the villas we have pre-booked with friends, taking a couple hours to settle in before the welcome dinner later that evening.
WHAT DOCUMENTS DO I NEED TO TRAVEL?
You will need an updated passport to travel to Europe. PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOUR PASSPORT DOES NOT EXPIRE WITHIN 6 MONTHS OF YOUR TRIP or you will not be permitted to board the plane. There are currently no Covid restrictions for traveling to Italy (yay!).
We'll discuss this more in the Travel section, but please also apply for an International Driver's License at your local AAA if you plan on renting a car (which we HIGHLY recommend if you plan on exploring Tuscany at all).
DO I NEED TO SPEAK ITALIAN?
Florence is an international city, as well as a haven for tourists, and almost everyone speaks English across Tuscany! It is always a nice gesture to learn a few phrases (hello, thank you, how to ask for the check, etc.) in the language of the country you are traveling to, but it isn't necessary.
Are there any planned post-wedding day events?
Unfortunately no! However, on Thursday, October 5th, we do plan on spending the day recovering and relaxing by the pool at our villa before grabbing dinner in a local town. Anyone is welcome to join us!
Where's the Honeymoon?
October 6th will officially begin our honeymoon in Palermo, Cefalu, and Taormina, with us taking a short plane ride to Sicily early Friday morning.
