When you arrive at a Quaker wedding, be prepared for silence and sitting: a lot of it! Other than the chairs at the very front of our venue, please choose any seat on any side, and settle into silence.

After a few minutes in silence, Nolan and Dani will stand and exchange their vows. They will then sign the wedding certificate present. Afterward, they will resume sitting in silence.

At this time, anyone at all present — child or adult, family or friend — may speak. This isn't a time for wedding speeches or toasts, but rather if there is anything that you feel moved to share about love, about marriage, advice, etc. Please keep this brief: about a minute or two should be perfect. Once you have finished speaking, please return to your seat and allow for a moment of silence.

Once the wedding has reached its natural conclusion, Nolan and Dani will break the silence by beginning to greet those around them. Please use this time to turn, greet, and celebrate with those around you.

At the ceremony's conclusion, every person present is asked to sign the wedding certificate as witness. This includes all children present! For those who cannot yet sign their name, an inkpad (and wipes for afterward) will be provided so they may leave their mark on the certificate, and their adult can sign their name next to it.
