Our Wedding

Our story began in 2012, we met in high school in the 10th grade, thanks to the matchmaking skills of the Best Man of our wedding, Ed!That year, we shared our first chapter as a couple, however, as young love we eventually went our separate ways— but our story was far from over. Life took us on different paths after high school. Nikki enlisted in the US Army, deployed, pursued a career as an esthetician and is now with a med-tech company.Meanwhile, Anthony earned a degree in computer science and has built a successful career as a software engineer. In 2019, thanks to fate—and Ed—we reconnected! Our next chapter truly began in 2020. Since then, we’ve shared countless unforgettable memories, built a life full of laughter, and have fallen more in love with each other everyday! The love we both hold for the outdoors has given us incredible experiences and formed the backdrop to so many of our favorite memories together. From epic road trips, camping beneath the brightest stars, to breaking our necks looking up at the worlds tallest and largest trees, conquering mountain peaks, skiing/snowboarding, fishing, and exploring far-off places.From every wild adventure to every peaceful moment we’ve shared through out the years, we’ve found true happiness and peace together.But the most extraordinary discovery of all has been a love and companionship that spans lifetimes. Our engagement took place in November 2024 against the stunning backdrop of Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada. Since 2020, Lake Tahoe has been a cherished tradition in our relationship, with multiple trips every year, without exception.It’s the one and only place in the world that continuously draws us back.Lake Tahoe is more than just a destination for us— it is the heart of our journeys. It’s been our wish to share the unparalleled beauty of Lake Tahoe with all of those that we love, so you, too, can be a part of why it holds a unique place in both of our hearts and story. We can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter of our adventure with all of you!

WEDDING PARTY

VENUE

The Ceremony and Reception will be held at Heavenly Mountain Resort’s Lakeview Lodge in South Lake Tahoe, California at 8,200 feet above sea level. The Ceremony will commence promptly at 5 PM.We ask that our guests be seated by this time. Reception to follow.

ATTIRE

Black Tie Formal. Dress your best!Due to the elevation of the venue, temperatures can decrease dramatically after sunset, plan accordingly.

PARKING

Complimentary parking will be available at the Heavenly Mountain Resort California Lodge parking lot, where guests will be taking the Aerial Tram up to Lakeview Lodge. Complimentary overnight parking is permitted in the California Lodge parking lot.Guests may leave their vehicle at the California Lodge parking lot overnight and return for it the following morning. Heavenly Mountain Resort has 24 hour onsite security.

GUEST ARRIVAL

Guests may begin uploading the Aerial Tram no earlier than 4:15 PM and no later than 4:40 PM. The Aerial Tram is a mile long 7 minute ride to the top.There will be a short walk on a dirt path or guests may take a short ride in a provided shuttle bus to Lakeview Lodge.&nbsp; Pre-Ceremony water service will be available.

AERIAL TRAM

The Aerial Tram is a sturdy and fully enclosed gondola.Women in heels will be able to comfortably stand while the Aerial Tram is in transit. Aerial Tram operators and security will be present on site.&nbsp;

ADA ACCESSIBILITY

The venue is ADA accessible.

PHOTOGRAPHY/FILMING

We will have an unplugged Ceremony.We kindly ask that our guests silence and put away their phones for the duration of our Ceremony. A professional photographer will be capturing this special moment and we will be sharing our gallery with everyone! There will be opportunities for guests to capture any media they would like after the Ceremony.

CHILDREN

Children will be present during our wedding.We kindly ask that guests with children to ensure there are no disruptions during the duration of our Ceremony. High chairs and booster seats will be available. Please keep an eye out on your little ones— you are on a mountain!

PHONE SERVICE/WIFI

Phone service and complimentary WiFi are available at Lakeview Lodge.Connectivity may be inconsistent.

ALTITUDE/ELEVATION SICKNESS

Lakeview Lodge is 8,200 feet above sea level, which is considered high altitude.&nbsp; While most individuals will be fine at this elevation— please monitor yourself for any symptoms that may arise such as headaches, fatigue, and lightheadedness.To help prevent this, stay hydrated before and during our wedding.&nbsp;If you are concerned about Altitude Sickness, please discuss with your physician ahead of time. Professional certified medical personnel will be present on site for any medical emergencies.

WEATHER

Summer weather in the Sierra Nevada mountains can change rapidly.If lightning or severe weather is detected within 15 miles of the resort, guests must remain indoors for at least 30 minutes. If no additional lightning strikes occur during that time, guests may safely return outside.

SMOKING

Smoking is only permitted in the designated smoking area of Lakeview Lodge. If weather conditions indicate a red flag warning or high fire danger in the area, smoking will not be permitted anywhere on Heavenly Resort’s mountain.

OUTSIDE FOOD/BEVERAGES/ALCOHOL

Heavenly Mountain Resort DOES NOT permit outside food and beverages at Lakeview Lodge or in the Aerial Tram.

LOST & FOUND

Any lost items will be collected and will be available for pick up the following morning at the California Lodge Security Office.

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE

South Lake Tahoe is a popular destination during the summer season.We recommend booking accommodations and travel plans as early as possible to ensure availability. Hotels, vacation rentals, and campgrounds tend to fill up quickly, and traffic can be heavier than usual.

Getting There

Flying

Reno-Tahoe International Airport, NV is approximately 1 hour from South Lake Tahoe. Sacramento International Airport, CA is approximately 2 hours from South Lake Tahoe.

Driving

There will be NO snow on the roads during this time of year in the Lake Tahoe area.The roads are well-maintained year-round.

Luxury condo-style cabin accommodations are available for your stay.Vail Resorts is offering the Lackey/Durden Wedding guests a discounted room rate for any reservations made between July 30, 2025 - August 5, 2025. To receive the discounted rate, please mention “Lackey/Durden Wedding” when making a reservation by phone.
