Why Spain?
We feel so deeply grateful and lucky to be having an intimate gathering of family and friends in Spain! We both studied abroad in Spain in 2014 (Daniel in Madrid, Alexa in Granada) and fell in love with the enchanting charm of Granada. We could think of no greater life dream than to travel the world, and we feel so humbly honored to commit to one another in a place that encapsulates the wonder we feel about the world.
We absolutely understand that this is a huge ask. For all of you amazing folks invited- please know that this is an invitation, NOT an expectation. We will be holding a more easily accessible celebration in Denver for all!
What's the dress code?
Cocktail attire! Please feel free to have fun with loud colors, fun prints, and anything that makes you feel like you. :) Please note that comfortable and definitely FLAT shoes are encouraged, as there are a ton of cobblestone lined hills in the area of the wedding.
I've been invited to both celebrations! Am I expected to attend both?
We are THRILLED to invite you to both, but we certainly do not expect you to travel to both. You are enthusiastically welcome to come to both if your circumstances allow, but since our Spain ceremony is far more intimate, we would prefer to see you there over Denver if that feels accessible!
Please don't be shy in discussing this with us. We highly prioritize your experience of our celebrations and would be happy to listen, answer questions, and help you decide when possible.
Should I bring a gift?
We both feel deeply that your presence in joining us on what will be a trip of a lifetime for us is absolutely enough. We are so excited to have ya'll join us and share our love story together, so please do not feel obligated to bring any gifts but yourself. We always will love to accept any cards and loving words from our favorite people.
If you still would like to have something to give, we will have the option for ya'll to contribute to two charities of our choice if you'd like, as well as our honeymoon fund (Japan 2025 is the goal!)
Where should we stay?
Look under the Travel page for more info on accommodations, but long story short we'll be reaching out to help everyone with planning!
How will we get to the wedding?
As it stands, La Chumbera is up a very, very long walk up a very steep hill. Who's ready for a hike? Just kidding.
We'll be planning to have shuttles take everyone from a central location in Granada to the event, as well as on the way home.
Will there by any other planned events?
This is still TBD, but we are looking at planning a group morning trip to the Alhambra on Wednesday, as well as having a casual drinks and tapas welcome party at a local bar or restaurant. We also are looking at something for Friday morning as well. Stay tuned!
What if I have any questions or run into problems during my trip?
Feel free to reach out to us via email or phone prior to the wedding with any questions. If you do run into travel issues or delays, please reach out and we'll make sure to help ya'll figure it out.

What will the weather be like?
During October, the temperature in Granada tends to be sunny and mild. Expect highs of 60-70 degrees and lows in the 50s. Rain is uncommon this time of year, but there are still moments where there might be infrequent rain storms.
