Our Story
Daniel and Claire's Love Story
Daniel and Claire met in Tallahassee, FL in 2018. While most would assume they met at Florida State University (because what else is in Tallahassee?), they actually met at a small gym called CrossFit Black Box. Claire had been a member for over a year already and Daniel decided to try out something new. They were both too nervous to talk to each other right away, but after some time and a Christmas party, they started to become friends and workout during the same classes.
It wasn’t until Claire came back to Tallahassee halfway through an internship rotation in Miami that they finally went on their first date at a coffee shop in Cascades Park. It must have gone well because once Claire got back from Miami, they went out to dinner and have been together ever since.
A few of Daniel and Claire’s favorite memories include traveling to Boone, North Carolina, working out at numerous CrossFit gyms across the country and exploring new restaurants everywhere they go. But their absolute favorite is adopting their beloved golden retriever, Lulu.
Daniel proposed to Claire on the day she graduated with her Masters from FSU. Claire had always joked that she wanted a proposal at a castle and Daniel thought, “well the closest thing to a castle in Tallahassee is Doak Campbell Stadium.” So while taking graduation pictures in front of the Unconquered Statue, Daniel told Claire to take her cap off for a picture, got down on one knee and popped the question in front of their families. Obviously she said yes!
We can’t wait to celebrate our love with all of you at our wedding!
