They say good things come to those who wait. And, in our case, it certainly did. This is the story of two Carolina boys who found love in one another.


Before moving to Asheville, Adam grew up and began his young adult life in Rock Hill, SC. After graduating from the University of South Carolina, Adam became a teacher, coach, and athletic director for one of the local high schools.


Teaching, coaching, and family consumed a large portion of his time. Despite being a well-known local, Adam struggled to find the right person he could integrate into all sectors of his life and Adam became content with being the oddball.


In early 2020, Adam decided to leave home and set out for a new adventure in the mountains of Asheville, NC.


Daniel, a native of Hickory, NC left his hometown for college at Western Carolina University. After graduation, he found employment and opportunity in the mountains of Asheville.


Many years in the area, and stops in 28 different countries, Daniel built quite an eclectic group of friends and companions. He never meets a stranger and can be quite the life of any party.


It was late summer 2023 when these two Carolina boys began a chat on a social dating platform. Daniel had just returned from a few weeks in Bali and Thailand where a photo opportunity with an elephant made its debut on the dating platform. This was all Adam needed to happily engage in pleasantries (elephants are his favorite).


Adam and Daniel quickly hit it off. Their love for people, family, and travel quickly took them to many places, making many memories. After a few months of dating, they jet set to Germany and Amsterdam for Adam’s birthday. It was there they started to believe they had each found their forever travel companion.


Introductions to family and friends were seamless. Two separate lives were quickly becoming one and memories filled with love and laughter were unending.


After months of happy dating, Adam and Daniel found themselves planning for yet another trip. This one...Greece and Rome. Two places Daniel had already visited but ones that Adam had only dreamt of going.


It was in Crete, Greece on a shallow cove in the Aegean Sea that Adam asked Daniel to be his forever. A thought that Daniel also had.


Unknowingly, these two Carolina boys each had plans to propose to the other! Shortly after saying yes to Adam in the Greek blue water, Daniel dropped to his knee on a private sailboat, captained by a Spartan, and asked Adam to be his last love.


And so, these two set their sails on a new adventure.
