Fall Hikes & Drives in Asheville, NC

The fall colors in the Blue Ridge Mountains are peaking just in time for our wedding! To make the most of this stunning season, we recommend these hikes and scenic drives to experience the best of the foliage.

For hikes, check out:

Craggy Gardens Trail (short but offers incredible views)

Graveyard Fields Loop (a moderate hike with waterfalls and vibrant fall colors)

Black Balsam Knob (for sweeping mountain vistas)

Looking Glass Rock Trail (a more challenging hike with rewarding views at the summit)

For scenic drives, we recommend:

The Blue Ridge Parkway: Known as Americas Favorite Drive, it’s a must-see for iconic fall foliage.

Mount Mitchell Scenic Drive: Explore the highest peak east of the Mississippi.

Pisgah Loop: Discover waterfalls and scenic vistas within Pisgah National Forest.
