We’re so excited to have you celebrate with us in Long Branch, NJ! Whether you’re coming early to explore, or you’ve got some free time during the weekend, here are some fun things to do around town during our wedding weekend. We’ve curated a mix of activities that’ll help you soak in the fall vibes and make the most of your time in this beautiful coastal town!


1. Relax on the Beach

If you need a peaceful retreat before the wedding, Long Branch Beach is the perfect spot to relax, take a walk, or enjoy the crisp autumn air. Though the weather might be chilly for swimming, the views and fresh sea breeze make it worth a visit. Stroll the boardwalk and take in the ocean views – it’s a beautiful spot for photos!

How to Do NYC in One Day from Long Branch, NJ

Long Branch is just about an hour’s drive from New York City, or if you prefer public transportation, the NJ Transit North Jersey Coast Line provides direct train service to Penn Station in Manhattan.


Here’s a quick itinerary for a day trip to the Big Apple!

Depart Early (Around 7:00 AM): Catch an early train or drive into NYC.


Central Park (9:00 AM): Once you arrive, head straight to Central Park for a morning stroll. The fall foliage will be gorgeous in October, and you can take photos, rent bikes, or just enjoy the park’s serenity.


Lunch at a Local NYC Restaurant (12:30 PM): NYC has countless lunch spots to choose from! You could recommend a classic deli like Katz's Delicatessen (if they want something iconic) or a trendy spot in the West Village or Chelsea Market.


Times Square & Broadway (2:00 PM): After lunch, head to Times Square to soak in the sights and lights.


Empire State Building or Rockefeller Center (3:30 PM): Depending on their interest, they can head to either the Empire State Building for the view or Rockefeller Center to see the famous ice rink and maybe take a trip up to the Top of the Rock observation deck.
