Q + A

What is the welcome party?

We are so fortunate to have family and friends coming from all over the United States to celebrate our special day. We intend for this event to allow us more time to mingle with our loved ones. We also can't wait for everyone to get to know each other! During this event, hors d'oeuvres and alcoholic beverages will be served. We are asking our guests to RSVP for this event in addition to the wedding day so that we can plan accordingly.

What is the dress code for the welcome party?

We are asking our guests to dress in cocktail attire.

Will dinner be served at the welcome party?

No, dinner will not be served. It is recommended that you eat before the event. Hors d'oeurves and alcoholic beverages will be served.

What time should I arrive to the ceremony?

The ceremony will start promptly at 4:00pm. We are asking our guests to arrive no later than 3:30pm for welcome drinks. Please note, the closest parking lot ( See Q&A below) is a 10 minute walk to the ceremony site + parking time.

What is the dress code for the wedding day?

We are asking our guests to dress in formal attire. For men a suit and tie is preferred. For women, it is suggested to wear a floor-length or mid-length gown.

What is the parking situation at the Prado?

We highly suggest that our guests use ride share services to get to the venue with ease. The ride share service will drop you off at the entrance of the ceremony site. In San Diego, Uber & Lyft are readily available at all hours. Downtown San Diego, where our guests are encouraged to stay, is located about 10 minutes from the venue. If you insist on driving, please note that the closest parking lot is the Casa de Balboa Lot. It is accessible from Park Blvd. Please allow for AMPLE time to find parking and make the walk to the ceremony site. It is roughly a 10 minute walk from the parking lot to the ceremony site. Parking at balboa park is unpredictable and usually scarce on a Saturday.

Will there be an open bar?

YES!

I have dietary restrictions, what is the food situation like?

When you RSVP you will be prompted to select your dinner choice. All major allergens will be listed next to each option, so please carefully look at those before making your decision. Additionally-during cocktail hour there will also be a variety of options. We made forth a great effort to try to include various options to accommodate all of our guests. Please ask the servers about the allergens- they will know :)

Can I bring a plus one?

We regretfully ask our guests to please not bring a plus one, unless they are specifically named on the invitation. Thank you so much for understanding!

Can I bring my children?

Please note that this invitation is extended to adults only, unless otherwise specified on your invitation. We hope this advance notice means you are still able to attend our big day and will enjoy having the evening off!
