The park is open every day of the year. Admission to the general grounds is free, but several individual attractions charge fees. Great place to walk around or rent bikes and explore various gardens, museums, and/or see a show at the Old Globe Theatre. Balboa Park is also home to the San Diego Zoo. Parking here is free.
Coronado is located across the bay from your stay in Downtown San Diego. We recommend you start at the Hotel Del where you can take a walk along the beach and enjoy the views. Renting bikes or quadracycles are fun too :) From there you are walking distance to various shops and restaurants. There is street parking here.
Gaslamp is home to many bars, restaurants, and entertainment. We do not recommend driving here. Uber/Lyft is the way to go.
Seaport Village is a great place for a scenic walk, shopping, and eating! It is located in Downtown San Diego. Parking is available here.
Little Italy is neighborhood teeming with restaurants, cafes, art galleries, craft beer taprooms and boutiques. Best. Italian. Food. Ever. On Saturday mornings, Little Italy hosts a farmers market. Parking is seldom here. This is a short uber/lyft from our hotel recommendations.
Belmont Park is located in Mission Beach. Which is about 15 minutes from Downtown. Great for family activities. Lots of parking available.
If you like walking/hiking, this is a MUST! Note-this is a bit further of a drive from downtown.
