When do I need to RSVP by?
Please RSVP by June 1st, 2025. If you have not by this date, we will assume that you will not be in attendance on our wedding day.
Where are the ceremony and reception taking place?
Both the ceremony and reception will be held at The Gathering Barn in Williamsburg, IA. It is located just off the interstate near the Tangler Outlet Mall.
Weather permitting, the ceremony will be outdoors. You can definitely expect it to be hot, and possibly windy. Please be prepared to be outside for the duration of the ceremony.
The cocktail hour and reception to follow will be indoors.
What time should I arrive?
The ceremony will begin at 4:00pm. Please arrive at least 15 - 30 minutes prior to the ceremony start time. This will give you enough time to park and find your seat. Upon arrival, we ask that you follow the walkway around the left side of the building where you will be greeted by our ushers to help you find a seat. Please keep in mind, this will be a large wedding meaning there will be lots of guest to get seated. The more time you plan in advance, the better.
Can I bring a guest/date?
Please refer to the RSVP page. If you received a plus one, your guest's name will appear under your name when you RSVP. Otherwise, we would like to keep the wedding as an event with close family and friends.
Are kids invited?
We love your kids, and we both have large families that are quickly expanding. This means there will be lots of kids in attendance. Unfortunately, we had to make the difficult decision to start putting a limit on the number of kids we can account for, due to our guest list numbers. With that being said, please refer to the RSVP page to see if your children have been accounted for on our wedding day. However, we also encourage you to take this opportunity to find a babysitter and enjoy a date night if you would like and are able to!
Will it be an open bar?
We will have an open bar for selected his and hers drinks through the whole night. The complimentary drinks will be Busch Light, Michelob Ultra, and Seltzers. Additionally, there will be a complimentary cocktail for a period of time. Otherwise, you are welcome to purchase any other drinks yourself.
Will there be transportation provided?
Yes. The hotel closest to the venue is within walking distance. We will provide transportation to the other designated hotel at the end of the night. Parking is not limited, but this measure is in place to ensure everyone gets home safely. We do however, recommend that if you are staying at the AmericInn by Wyndham, you carpool to the venue. If you choose to leave your car at the venue overnight, please pick it up by noon on Sunday. If needed, we plan to have a few vehicles running in the morning to take guests to their cars at the venue.
Is there a dress code?
We'd love to see our family and friends dress up with us! The dress code is cocktail attire (semi-formal) for the wedding.
