Walking distance from City Creek Shopping center is Temple Square.
Capital Building is on top of the hill with a beautiful view of the city - also different museums in the area.
The Gate Way - good food (check out Hallpass dining hall), local shops, movie theater and comedy club all in walking distance.
Walk through the gardens of temple square, view the architecture and history of the LDS religion.
Drive up the Cotton Wood canyon to Brighton skii resort. Stop to sight see along the way or enjoy some food and beverage at our favorite local snow boarding spot

-Living Room Lookout
-Bonneville heights / Bonneville shoreline
-anything in the Cottonwood Canyons!!
-anything in Wasatch National Forest!!
(we are at elevation so remember to drink lots of water! I recommend staying with easy to moderately rated hikes)
