Castello Di Montalto. A medieval castle with over 1000 years of history, surrounded by woods and farmland in the lovely and unspoiled Chianti hills near Siena.
Where will we be staying?
Majority of all guests will be staying at Castello di Montalto in rooms assigned by the bride and groom. Accommodations will be covered by the Bride and Groom if you are staying at Castello di Montalto. Please note space is limited and rooms will be assigned for the bridal party and immediate family firstly. Should we have more guests attend than planned there will be additional accommodations within 10-15 minutes away from Castello Di Montalto that will need to be covered separately.
Recommendations close by that:
Castel Monastero (top level) - 7 minute drive.
Oasi del grillo (B&B... clean and cost effective) - 10 minute drive.
Podere Casato (good quality farmhouse) -13 minute drive
Agriturismo Melariano (next to Podere Casato)- 14 minute drive
Relais la martina (nice)- 14 minute drive. Danielle and Anthony stayed here when they did their venue walk through in November and they would recommend this location!
When should I arrive?
Our suggestion if you would like to get the most of your trip is to arrive a day or a few days prior to Monday to account for the long travel and time difference. Our welcome dinner is Monday which is optional but we would love to have you all. Our wedding is Tuesday and the following pool day is also optional if people would like to leave the day after the wedding.
What will be happening during these three days?
Day 1: Welcome Dinner. - Day 2: The Wedding Day. - Day 3: Pool Day along with a cooking class.
Please note that Day 1 and 3 are not required but we would love to have you!
Whats the address of the venue?
53019 Castelnuovo Berardenga SI
Italy
How can I get there?
Since the venue is in the country side taxi’s are hard to come by. Once you arrive in Sienna train station you can catch a taxi but unfortunately they will most likely charge you between 90-130 euros to get to our venue as they would like to cover the cost of returning without a ride. Group transportation will be arranged from Siena on Monday June 9th by the bride and groom so if you are interested in joining, please reach out so they can add you to the headcount.
Will I need a European outlet adapter?
Yes you will. To charge any electronic devices you will need a European outlet adapter as Italy has different shaped outlets that you cannot put US plugs in without an adapter or it will blow a fuse. You can find these on Amazon, Walmart, Target for $12-$20
