Whew! That escalated quickly. In May of 2015, Ronald and I were introduced through a mutual friend, Mark Artrip, who also happens to be my pastor. Every Sunday for a couple of weeks before we met, Mark would remind me that he wanted me to meet this guy who may be my future husband (he is literally a professional matchmaker or should be). After about three weeks I agreed to meeting this mystery guy at the Artrip's house to casually hang out. Let's just say the minute I walked in the door and Ronald gave me a big hug, the rest was history. That was last May. As I sit to write this I cannot believe a year has gone by and I soon will call Ronald my beloved husband. The only thing I can say is truly how amazing God is, and how He truly had a plan for Ronald and I that neither of us had the slightest idea of. Ronald has been one of the greatest signs of mercy and grace that the Lord has shown me. We are so blessed with this gift of love and cannot wait to embark on this journey of life together. We cannot express how excited we are to celebrate the gift of marriage with each of you in August.

Easton Town Center is a large outdoor shopping center with so many awesome restaurants as well as places to shop! Also just a really pretty atmosphere to walk around outside.

The Short North is one of the more popular parts of the city to spend time in and take visitors to. It is close to THE Ohio State campus and is filled with awesome local shops, bars, delicious restaurants and coffee shops. Some of our favorite places in the Short North are Jeni's ice cream (which is also at Easton), Northstar cafe, Bakersfield, and Seventh Son Brewery.

North Market is one of our favorites in Cbus and a must visit if there is time. It is a large warehouse building filled with 20+ different local stands filled with the most delicious types of food. Our favorites include Hot Chicken Takeover, Destination Donuts, Jeni's Ice cream and Lan Viet. This is also walking distance from the Short North.

If you are looking for something quick and delicious, our FAVORITE place as people closest to us may know is Raising Canes. For our Alabama friends this is a better version of Guthrie's. There's many all over Columbus, give it a try and your life will be changed.

Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers

The Scioto River runs right through downtown and has a beautiful walking path all along the river through downtown as well as several parks along the path. It is our favorite way to spend time outside and get a great view of the city. It is also walking distance from the Arena district which is where I (Danielle) work. If you are in town for a few nights I highly suggest Milestone 229 for a good meal and awesome view of the city.

Scioto Mile

If you happen to be staying in the area through Sunday afternoon and have time we would love for you to check out our home church here in Columbus, which is where our "matchmaker" and friend is the lead Pastor! Sunday morning service is at 10:00 am.
