Q + A

What kind of amenities are there on Isle Madame?

There is a Co-op grocery store, a liquor store, a gas station/cafe (La Goelette), ATMs (St. Joseph's Credit Union), and a few restaurants (The Nest, The Groundswell, and the Spud Wagon). If you are driving from Halifax you will drive past a Superstore and Sobeys in Port Hawkesbury and a Superstore in Antigonish. There are no cabs but we have hired a 15-person van for the day of the wedding to help people get around. Check out the Travel and Things to Do sections for more info.

Where can I find the most up-to-date schedule for the weekend?

We will be updating this website with any changes to the schedule, so check back here if you aren't sure!

Can I bring my kids to wedding?

Although we love your kids our wedding will be for adults only.

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

We would love to be looking at the faces of our friends and family during the ceremony, so please don't take out your phone. We have a photographer who will undoubtedly take beautiful photos.

Do you have a gift registry?

What we are most excited about is celebrating with our friends and family and we know travelling with a wrapped Kitchenaid mixer is a pain. If you would like to give us a gift, a contribution to our honeymoon would be lovely.

Can I bring a plus 1?

A plus 1 will be by invitation only.

What will the wedding day look like?

We're still working on specific times and the most up-to-date schedule will be posted on this website. Generally though, the ceremony will be taking place in Danielle's parents' backyard (weather permitting) followed by the cocktail hour in the same location. The reception will be at La Picasse (roughly a 10 minute drive away) and we have rented a 15-person van to help you get from one place to the other, which will also be available for rides home.

What should I wear?

Please dress in cocktail attire. Isle Madame is on the ocean, which is notoriously unpredictable, so having a jacket available is a good idea. If the weather is poor we will move the ceremony indoors.
