Visit the beautiful sandy beaches, trails, and great food in Tofino. Approximately an hour and 45 minutes from Port Alberni. Danielle and Ryan got engaged at Tonquin Beach at the edge of town if you want to check it out. Enjoy some of their favourite restaurants such as: The Shelter, Rhino Coffee, Tacofino, and Lil Ronnie’s. Long Beach, Cox Bay, and Wickaninnish Beach are also beautiful spots to check out. 

Enjoy the trails and rocky beaches of Ucluelet. Approximately an hour and 30 mins from Port Alberni. Big Beach and Little Beach are tourist faves, as well as the local aquarium where they rescue, rehabilitate, and release many different creatures of the sea. 

Before entering Port Alberni, enjoy the east coast of the island in Parksville and Qualicum. Here you’ll find a beautiful boardwalk, and Rathtrevor Beach. 

Don’t forget to stop in Coombs to check out the Goats on the Roof and market before you continue on into town. 

Your last touristy spots just before entering Port Alberni, include Cathedral Grove, our old growth forest and The Hole in the Wall.
