Our Wedding

The&nbsp;Last&nbsp;First&nbsp;Date It&nbsp;all&nbsp;started&nbsp;on&nbsp;August&nbsp;26,&nbsp;2023,&nbsp;with&nbsp;a&nbsp;swipe&nbsp;on&nbsp;Facebook&nbsp;Dating.&nbsp;For&nbsp;Dani,&nbsp;this&nbsp;was&nbsp;meant&nbsp;to&nbsp;be&nbsp;her&nbsp;last&nbsp;first&nbsp;date&nbsp;ever—a&nbsp;promise&nbsp;she&nbsp;was&nbsp;holding&nbsp;onto&nbsp;as&nbsp;she&nbsp;got&nbsp;ready.&nbsp;Little&nbsp;did&nbsp;she&nbsp;know,&nbsp;it&nbsp;would&nbsp;indeed&nbsp;be&nbsp;her&nbsp;last&nbsp;first&nbsp;date,&nbsp;but&nbsp;for&nbsp;a&nbsp;beautiful&nbsp;and&nbsp;permanent&nbsp;new&nbsp;reason! Chris&nbsp;showed&nbsp;up&nbsp;like&nbsp;a&nbsp;true&nbsp;gentleman,&nbsp;pulling&nbsp;up&nbsp;in&nbsp;his&nbsp;classic&nbsp;red&nbsp;convertible&nbsp;and&nbsp;arriving&nbsp;with&nbsp;a&nbsp;sweet&nbsp;offering&nbsp;of&nbsp;chocolate.&nbsp;He&nbsp;took&nbsp;Dani&nbsp;out&nbsp;for&nbsp;a&nbsp;classic&nbsp;Nebraska&nbsp;supper&nbsp;at&nbsp;Texas&nbsp;T-bone.&nbsp;The&nbsp;date&nbsp;was&nbsp;a&nbsp;success,&nbsp;but&nbsp;the&nbsp;real&nbsp;test&nbsp;came&nbsp;back&nbsp;at&nbsp;the&nbsp;house&nbsp;when&nbsp;Dani’s&nbsp;dog,&nbsp;Lucy,&nbsp;met&nbsp;Chris.&nbsp;And&nbsp;just&nbsp;like&nbsp;that,&nbsp;Lucy&nbsp;fell&nbsp;in&nbsp;love&nbsp;at&nbsp;first&nbsp;sight. The&nbsp;Side&nbsp;Chick&nbsp;Cometh The&nbsp;competition&nbsp;for&nbsp;affections&nbsp;escalated&nbsp;quickly.&nbsp;On&nbsp;the&nbsp;second&nbsp;date,&nbsp;Chris&nbsp;came&nbsp;prepared—he&nbsp;brought&nbsp;a&nbsp;treat&nbsp;specifically&nbsp;for&nbsp;Lucy.&nbsp;While&nbsp;Dani&nbsp;had&nbsp;adopted&nbsp;Lucy&nbsp;two&nbsp;years&nbsp;prior,&nbsp;from&nbsp;that&nbsp;moment&nbsp;on,&nbsp;the&nbsp;dog&nbsp;only&nbsp;had&nbsp;eyes&nbsp;for&nbsp;Chris. In&nbsp;fact,&nbsp;Lucy&nbsp;has&nbsp;settled&nbsp;comfortably&nbsp;into&nbsp;her&nbsp;role&nbsp;as&nbsp;“the&nbsp;side&nbsp;chick,”&nbsp;demanding&nbsp;Chris's&nbsp;full&nbsp;attention&nbsp;at&nbsp;all&nbsp;hours&nbsp;of&nbsp;the&nbsp;day.&nbsp;Dani&nbsp;has&nbsp;graciously&nbsp;accepted&nbsp;that&nbsp;she&nbsp;will&nbsp;forever&nbsp;be&nbsp;sharing&nbsp;her&nbsp;man&nbsp;with&nbsp;their&nbsp;demanding,&nbsp;furry&nbsp;companion. Exploring&nbsp;Nebraska,&nbsp;Building&nbsp;a&nbsp;Life Things&nbsp;moved&nbsp;fast&nbsp;when&nbsp;you&nbsp;know&nbsp;they're&nbsp;right.&nbsp;By&nbsp;January&nbsp;2024,&nbsp;Chris&nbsp;and&nbsp;Dani&nbsp;officially&nbsp;moved&nbsp;in&nbsp;together,&nbsp;merging&nbsp;their&nbsp;lives&nbsp;and&nbsp;settling&nbsp;into&nbsp;a&nbsp;routine&nbsp;centered&nbsp;around&nbsp;food,&nbsp;farming,&nbsp;and&nbsp;fun. They&nbsp;love&nbsp;exploring&nbsp;every&nbsp;corner&nbsp;of&nbsp;Nebraska&nbsp;together,&nbsp;whether&nbsp;they’re&nbsp;out&nbsp;early&nbsp;for&nbsp;Morel&nbsp;hunting,&nbsp;spending&nbsp;crisp&nbsp;autumn&nbsp;days&nbsp;at&nbsp;pumpkin&nbsp;patches,&nbsp;or&nbsp;enjoying&nbsp;summer&nbsp;sunshine&nbsp;berry&nbsp;picking.&nbsp;Their&nbsp;shared&nbsp;passion&nbsp;for&nbsp;agriculture&nbsp;makes&nbsp;the&nbsp;Young&nbsp;Farmers&nbsp;Conference&nbsp;their&nbsp;favorite&nbsp;event&nbsp;to&nbsp;attend&nbsp;every&nbsp;year. A&nbsp;Christmas&nbsp;Proposal After&nbsp;a&nbsp;wonderful&nbsp;year&nbsp;of&nbsp;adventures,&nbsp;Chris&nbsp;was&nbsp;ready&nbsp;for&nbsp;the&nbsp;next&nbsp;big&nbsp;step.&nbsp;On&nbsp;December&nbsp;22,&nbsp;2024,&nbsp;they&nbsp;traveled&nbsp;to&nbsp;Omaha&nbsp;to&nbsp;see&nbsp;the&nbsp;breathtaking&nbsp;Manheim&nbsp;Steamroller&nbsp;Christmas&nbsp;special. After&nbsp;the&nbsp;show,&nbsp;under&nbsp;a&nbsp;beautiful,&nbsp;twinkling&nbsp;Christmas&nbsp;archway,&nbsp;Chris&nbsp;got&nbsp;down&nbsp;on&nbsp;one&nbsp;knee&nbsp;and&nbsp;popped&nbsp;the&nbsp;question.&nbsp;Dani,&nbsp;of&nbsp;course,&nbsp;said&nbsp;yes!&nbsp;It&nbsp;was&nbsp;the&nbsp;perfect&nbsp;festive&nbsp;ending&nbsp;to&nbsp;their&nbsp;first&nbsp;year&nbsp;and&nbsp;the&nbsp;start&nbsp;of&nbsp;a&nbsp;lifetime&nbsp;together.&nbsp;Now,&nbsp;they&nbsp;can’t&nbsp;wait&nbsp;to&nbsp;celebrate&nbsp;their&nbsp;next&nbsp;chapter&nbsp;with&nbsp;all&nbsp;of&nbsp;you.
