Here it goes-
A mutual friend of both Danielle and Ben was hosting a birthday party at the roller rink. Danielle was moving like a roller goddess and Ben was proudly announcing his intentions to quit his job and move to Arizona in three short weeks. A High School Musical choreographed dance piqued Bens interest and the rest, as they say, is history.
Danielle and Ben spent the next 21 days together. They scootered, went pontooning with Danielles friends, saw Hamilton, sang karaoke, and spent many a night talking until the sun came up. By the end of the first week Danielle was hooked and agreed to go with Ben on a week-long road trip to Phoenix.
On the way Danielle and Ben stopped to visit Bens mate Sam Dean in Kansas City before heading out to Amarillo, Texas. The night in Amarillo was arguably the best night of the trip where they sang the night away at a karaoke bar and Danielle got to try Whataburger for the first time.
Next Danielle and Ben were off to Sedona, Arizona for a beautiful night in the tourist town before being off again the next day to the Grand Canyon. They took a Pink Jeep tour where they were able to see all the best sites and take some great pictures along the way.
After that they were down to Phoenix where Danielle got to meet Bens friends Nick and Austin while hanging out in the pool at the house Ben would be calling home for the next couple months. Danielles flight even ended up getting delayed so she got to stay one more night with Ben.
It wasnt long after Danielle left that Ben realized that he had to get back to Fond du Lac to be with Danielle and thats exactly what he did. They met in Chicago for a visit where Ben asked Danielle to be his girlfriend on the Navy Pier Centennial Wheel and of course she said yes! Danielle then got to meet Bens parents and sister for the first time.
Ben returned back to Wisconsin in October where he and Danielle were reunited at last. From there they had great adventures like attending Kyrstens union in marriage and going to Cabo for Rodrigos wedding not too long later. They also went to many a Packer game and threw in a Brewer game in there too (still waiting on the Bucks). One of Danielles favorite memories is attending the Badger - Gopher game with Josh and Kyle where the Gophers brought the axe back to Minneapolis (boo)!
Then this past December, after some great rounds of driveway hockey at Nates, Ben brought all his friends, Danielles friend Kassi, and her sister Dawn and Nick to Minneapolis where he secretly planned to propose to Danielle. She loves the Twin Cities since becoming a Gopher and Ben made the night extra special proposing on the Stone Arch Bridge with the skyline behind them. Danielle had an idea it might be coming but had no idea in the moment it was happening because she thought Ben was at the Packer - Vikings game with Nick and Cody! She was pleasantly surprised and spoiler alert, she said yes.
Since then, between all the wedding planning, Danielle and Ben have been spending much of their time eating sushi with Jordan and Katherine and hanging out with their fur-babies Nolan (Tuxedo cat), Martha (German Shepherd), Mufasa (Ginger cat), and Kennedy (Bernese Mountain Dog) and yes, its a full house, just the way we like it!
Were so excited to be sharing our big day with everyone and we cant wait to have a fun day of laughter, dancing, and some happy tears along the way.
Love Always,
Ben and Dany
