Looking for something to do while visiting? Look into some of the things Matthew and Danielle love to do during Durango summers!
Raft the Animas River through town or go for a more exhilarating trip from Needleton to Tacoma on the Upper Animas River! If you're looking for a calmer experience, walk along the river trail and watch the rafts and kayaks at Santa Rita Park!
Visit Mesa Verde National Park to see the history of the area, west of Durango.
Enjoy a soak at the local hot springs, just north of Durango. Tuesday and Thursday nights have live music in the summer!
Take a ride through the San Juan Mountains on the Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad. It is a full day event, so if you aren't up for that, at least visit the train depot in downtown Durango!
Try any of the local breweries in Durango to grab a bite to eat and sip on local beer and seltzers! Most places have nonalcoholic options as well. Our favorite is Ska Brewing in Bodo Park.
Durango is full of hiking trails in town, anywhere from a quick mile to a full day trip. If you're looking for a full day adventure, look into trails in the La Plata Mountains or near Molas Pass!
If you're coming in from out of town and and short on camping equipment to use for the night of the wedding or during your time in Durango, this is one of the best spots in town for you!
We suggest renting a minimum of a sleeping bag and a sleeping pad for cowboy camping under the stars and a tent if you would prefer a little more shelter.
