After connecting on Match.com we met for a spectacular first date! The entire date was planned by Ryan, which involved riding scooters, enjoying the Fort Wayne street fair, and lunch at JK O'Donnell's. Magical, I know! Three years later, we still frequent street fairs! I even bought a mug on that date. Whenever I am feeling down drinking from this mug is a great comfort to this day.

~ How We Met ~

We got engaged May 19, 2024 at the Heritage Winery in Fort Wayne! For us, this winery is a romantic and favorite date spot. We still spend lots of summer afternoons here! Sipping wine and feeding the koi fish in the pond you see behind us. Yes, there is a video of the engagement! Of course I can send it to you! Can't Find Anything?

We are currently running out of room in our apartment to keep things. This is why you might not see much listed on the registry to buy as gifts. We ask that you consider gifting money to our cash fund on Venmo. That way we can use the fund to move into a bigger home. Buy that grill Ryan has always wanted and snuggle by a firepit. (Venmo will not take any percentage of your gift.)

~ Something More Personal ~

If you were hoping to gift something more personal here are a few suggestions. Do not be afraid to do a combination of personal and registry/venmo. Whatever feels right! If you thought of something that we NEED to have, but just don't know it yet because it's not anywhere on our registry lists, get it! Talk to us if there is a gift you had in mind but aren't sure how to make it work, or if you prefer to give us our gift using a different method that you find easier than overcoming potential online hurdles. You do not have to worry about Venmo taking any percentage of your gift.

Cookbooks

Ryan and I also love to buy cookbooks and try cooking family recipes together. If you have a cookbook or family recipe you would like to pass onto us we would love the chance to add it to our growing collection and cookbook library. Below you will see some of the cookbooks we already own. Some are serious but many are humorous. Yes we have made many recipes from all of these books together. Tom yum, thai curries, onion soup, tomato soup, various pastas, etc.

Board Games

Ryan and I love board games and throwing board game parties. We are both huge nerds and love playing these games with friends. Ryan was actually the one to reignite my passion for board games with his fun and unique tastes. The types of board games we play tend not to be your typical run of the mill Monopoly or Go Fish. It has always been Ryan's dream to one day have an entire wall of board games to choose from. If you have a board game you think we will enjoy and must add to our next get-together that would be a fun gift! We could even talk about arranging a game night! Maybe cook a recipe from a new cookbook we are trying? Below are a fraction of board games we already own and played. If you have never played them before we 100% recommend!

Spirits

Our engagement story involved a winery. Of course gifting a favorite liquor would be a great gift! Ryan loves a good bourbon or whiskey. I enjoy a good sake, wine, or vodka. Generally speaking, we love trying new things together, outside of the everyday go-to liquors. Go for anything unique that stands out on the shelf that you haven't seen before. Maybe there is something that you have tried and know we MUST try it? We could try it all together after the wedding! Maybe after a board game or two?
