Danielle and Aaron met the summer of 2005 while working at Sledgehammer Charlies in Lenoir, NC. They became very close friends but never dated. Back then, Danielle's dad wasn't the biggest fan of Aaron's, but fast forward 18 years and now they are very close.

November of 2021 - Aaron messaged Danielle to see if she wanted to catch up, as he was in NC for the Thanksgiving holiday and ironically Danielle was in WV. Aaron had plans to move back to NC from WV in December and once he moved they met up for dinner. The friendship came back immediately and they started dating on 1/1/2022 right at midnight.

During their year of dating they enjoyed concerts, sporting events, trips, golf rounds, and time with the kids.

Exactly a year later on 1/1/2023, right after midnight, Aaron created an memorable engagement. While at a New Year's Eve party at The Barley Market, Aaron requested their song, "Diamond in my Pocket" by Cody Johnson to be played. At the specific line, "Might as well jump in head first, lay it all on the line. What am I worried 'bout, never gonna be a more perfect time", the music would cut off and he would bend to one knee. Little did he know that Danielle would make him dance in front of everyone, and be the only ones dancing to their song. To even more of his surprise, when the song was cut off, Danielle "Boo'd" at the DJ and started pouting and not realizing that he was beside her on one knee. Of course she finally realized what was happening and the rest is history.

They have been through ups and downs, from job changes to packing and moving, but their 678 days of engagement have made them strong as a couple and cannot wait to share their day with all of their family and friends.
