Recognized as a National Historic Landmark, The Dennison Railroad Depot is the most significant remaining example in the nation of a railroad canteen still reflecting its WWII heritage. During WWII, 1.3 Million service members, approximately 13% of all armed personnel, traveling by troop train stopped at the Depot where they were served free food by 3,987 working volunteers at the Dennison Depot Salvation Army Servicemen’s Canteen. Our Homefront hospitality became so well known, that the nickname Dreamsville, USA was given to us by the soldiers themselves.

Step back in time to 1772, where Ohio was the western frontier. David Zeisberger and his Moravian missionaries settled in Schoenbrunn, in German "Beautiful Spring." Here the missionaries lived in peace with the Delaware American Indians. Today the Village offers a glimpse into the past with an historic village complete with 17 log cabins including the first school and first church in the State of Ohio.
