At Colorado Mesa University in 2021, fate had a beautiful surprise in store for Daren, the local and Dani, the international student from Madrid, Spain. Through connections of mutual friends, their paths crossed, and for Daren, it was love at first sight. From the moment they met, Dani and Daren became part of a wonderful group of friends who were a big part in the beginnings of this love story. Though they remained as friends throughout their college years, their connection was going to be a turning point in their lives. After being friends for a long time, Daren finally gathered his courage and asked Dani on a date to Red Robin - Home of America's burger. Little did they know that this date would be the first chapter of their love story. They continued going on dates and spending more time together. Enjoying every single bit of it. Each moment spent together only confirmed what Daren had felt from the beginning – they were meant to be. When Daren finally asked Dani to be his girlfriend on May 4th 2023, it marked the official start of their beautiful relationship. As their love continued, so did their understanding of each other. They loved to learn about their differences and similarities, embracing the blend of cultures in their relationship. Daren's experiences expanded as he learned to appreciate Dani's cultural background. This led them on many adventures, but none quite as special as their trip to Spain. Daren had the opportunity to visit Javea, the place Dani held so dear to her heart. Walking the streets of her hometown and seeing the world through her eyes, Daren fell in love not just with Spain, but with Dani all over again. It was during this trip that Daren saw Dani's dream to one day marry in the very church where she was baptized. Together, Daren and Dani built a life filled with shared passions. They found joy in skiing together, traveling, watching sunsets, exploring beaches, and creating delicious meals together. On July 15th 2024, during sunset, at a lake in Grand Junction, Colorado and with butterflies in his stomach, Daren got down on one knee and asked Dani to be his wife. Her joyful "Yes!" set in motion their next great adventure. Now, as they embark on their journey in Florida, Daren and Dani are chasing their dreams. Their story is a testament to the power of love that crosses borders. As they look to the future, they carry with them the warmth of Spanish suns, the thrill of shared adventures, and the promise of a love that will only grow stronger with each passing day. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- En 2021, en la Universidad de Colorado Mesa, el destino tenía una sorpresa para Daren, el chico local, y Daniela, la estudiante internacional de Madrid, España. A través de amigos en común, sus caminos se cruzaron y para Daren fue amor a primera vista. Desde el momento en que se conocieron, Daniela y Daren se hicieron parte de un grupo increíble de amigos que jugaron un papel muy importante en el comienzo de su historia. Aunque siguieron siendo amigos durante la universidad, su conexión iba a cambiar sus vidas. Después de mucho tiempo siendo amigos, Daren se armó de valor y le pidió a Daniela salir a cenar a Red Robin - la famosa hamburguesería americana. Lo que no sabían era que esa cita sería el comienzo de su historia de amor. Empezaron a salir y a pasar más tiempo juntos, disfrutando cada momento. Cada minuto juntos solo confirmaba lo que Daren había sentido desde el principio: estaban destinados a estar juntos. Cuando Daren le pidió a Daniela que fuera su novia el 4 de mayo de 2023, fue el inicio oficial de su relación. A medida que su amor crecía, también crecía su comprensión mutua. Les encantaba descubrir sus diferencias y similitudes, abrazando la mezcla de culturas que había en su relación. Daren empezó a apreciar mucho más la cultura de Daniela.Esto los llevó a muchas aventuras, pero ninguna tan especial como su viaje a España. Daren tuvo la oportunidad de visitar Jávea, el lugar que Daniela tanto quería. Paseando por las calles de su pueblo y viendo el mundo a través de sus ojos, Daren no solo se enamoró de España, sino que volvió a enamorarse de Daniela. Fue en ese viaje donde Daren entendió el sueño de Daniela de casarse algún día en la iglesia donde fue bautizada. Juntos, Daren y Daniela crearon una vida llena de cosas que disfrutan hacer juntos. Les encanta esquiar, viajar, ver atardeceres, explorar playas y cocinar.El 15 de julio de 2024, al atardecer, en un lago en Grand Junction, Colorado, Daren se arrodilló con mariposas en el estómago y le pidió a Daniela que se casara con él. Su "¡Sí!" marcó el comienzo de su siguiente aventura juntos. Ahora, mientras inician su vida en Florida, Daren y Daniela siguen persiguiendo sus sueños. Su historia es prueba de cómo el amor puede cruzar fronteras. Y, mientras miran hacia el futuro, llevan consigo el calor del sol español, la emoción de las aventuras compartidas y la promesa de un amor que solo crecerá más fuerte con cada día que pase.

OUR OWN RECOMMENDATION :We are so excited to have you in our big day, Javea is a beautiful town and we know you will all fall in love with it, we want to make the way there as easiest as possible and we really appreciate you coming and taking the trip! That's why we want to give you as many options as possible and as much information as possible, but if we where to choose an option, we would fly to Madrid, from Madrid fly or take the speed train to Alicante and in Alicante rent a car and drive to Javea. &nbsp;FROM THE US TO SPAINThere's 3 airports you can fly to :&nbsp;-&nbsp;Adolfo Suarez Madrid Barajas. 4 1/2 - hour drive to Javea.-&nbsp;El Aeropuerto Internacional de Valencia. 1-hour and 15 mins drive to Javea.-&nbsp;Aeropuerto de Alicante . 1-hour drive to Javea.Normally flights to Madrid are cheaper since it's the capital of Spain, so we would recommend flying to Madrid!&nbsp;

OPTIONS TO TRAVEL FROM MADRID TO JAVEA- If you want a direct way to get from Madrid to Javea you can rent a car. Renting a car in Spain is affordable the drive from Madrid to Javea is about 4 1/2 hours. OTHER AFFORDABLE AND QUICK OPTIONSThere are other options to get to javea that will require to go through either one of the two closest cities, Valencia or Alicante. Here are options to get to either one of these cities :

MADRID TO VALENCIA OR ALICANTE - BY PLANEThe easiest way would be to fly from Madrid to Valencia or Madrid-Alicante (recommended) - BY TRAINSpain has really nice affordable and quick speed trains that will take you from Madrid to Valencia in 2h and from Madrid to Alicante in 2h and 20 mins. Here are some speed train companies that can look up!

If you choose this train option we highly advise to book the tickets in advanced! The most common trains stations from Madrid are CHAMARTIN and ATOCHA.

Either if you chose to fly to Valencia or Alicante or taking the speed train you still need to get to Javea :) Here are the options we recommend : - The best option is to rent a car, it is really affordable and easy since you can either pick up the car at the train station or at the airport. We recommend this option as the best one because even though we will be providing transportation to the venues on the day of the wedding and the prewedding, a car will give you a lot more freedom to move around javea and explore this beautiful town. We are really excited to have our loved ones by our side in Javea. So we want to make it easier for everyone. Below are some hotels that we recommend around the area. But if it's easier for you, the bride-to-be can organize your trip for you BEFORE June 1st! (but the sooner the better!)

                                          OUR OPTIONS SUMMARY

If you want a hotel closer to the PRE wedding, this is a really cute hotel/restaurant, with nice rooms and a pool. It is located in El Portitxol Javea, which is a mountain, so we highly recommend having a car if you are staying here! (Also, it is one of our favorites Asian restaurants in Javea)

CASA LILI JAVEA

Javea, as most of the mediterranean coast, has rock beautiful beaches, but this hotel is situated in the only sand beach in Javea. It is a nice hotel in El Arenal beach, where you'll be able to walk around and discover multiple restaurants, bars, shops... etc! It is a great location if you don't have a car and the wedding transportation to the venue will be departing from here.

Parador de Jávea

The NOMAD HOTEL XABIA PORT stands out for its chic, modern design with a relaxed Mediterranean vibe. Its prime location near the port offers stunning sea views and easy access to local attractions. Great to walk around Javea's port!

Villa Dora Javea is a great spot if you’re after peace and relaxation. The place has a cool, modern vibe with a lush garden and a pool that’s perfect for unwinding. It’s in a great spot, close to Javea’s beautiful beaches and charming town center, so you can enjoy both relaxation and local adventures.

La Boutique Hotel La Casita Javea is a nice hotel with a cozy, boutique vibe. It features a lovely pool and beautifully designed rooms that make for a relaxing stay. Located in the heart of Javea’s historic old town, you’ll be close to quaint shops, cozy cafes, and local sights while still enjoying a peaceful atmosphere. Javea's old town is beautiful, definitely a must to see, but we do recommend having a car if you are staying here, to be able to move around Javea and visit the beaches.

Boutique hotel La Casita

This is another option of hotel in the sand beach of Javea, El Arenal. It is also a good option to be able to walk around if you don't have a car.

Hotel Villa Naranjos

This is a really cute, cozy hotel, it has 4 houses and a shared pool and big garden, right next to where the pre wedding is going to take place, please let us know if you are wanting to stay here because we are blocking the entire hotel for the weekend.

La Posada Paradiso

If you would like to stay in a beautiful golf course this is a great option, BUT it is far from Javea beaches and the locations of the wedding and the pre wedding so keep that in mind and we highly recommend having a car if you are staying here!

Denia Marriott La Sella Golf Resort & Spa

This hotel is a great option, great location, beautiful rooms, and amazing spa! You can walk to different beaches and it's close to the pre-wedding location.

El Rodat Hotel Village Spa Javea

Hotel Sol de Jávea offers a laid-back beachside experience, right across from Arenal Beach. Rooms are comfortable, many with sea views, and the rooftop terrace is perfect for sunset drinks. The Mediterranean-style food adds to the coastal vibe. Price-wise, rooms typically range from €100 to €250 per night, depending on the season and room type.

Hotel Sol de Jávea

Botánico Beauty Boutique Hotel SPA in Xàbia is awesome because it's close to everything! You’re just a short walk from the beach, the old town, and one of our favorite chiringuitos, La Siesta. Plus, it’s surrounded by beautiful greenery, making it super relaxing. Perfect spot to unwind and enjoy Xàbia!

For guests looking for a cozy yet affordable stay, Blanca Boutique BnB in Jávea provides charming rooms with a personal touch. It’s a budget-friendly option offering comfort and style, with prices ranging from €70 to €130 per night, depending on the season and room choice.
