Our Wedding

Darian and Sarah started dating in February 2022 and have been together ever since. They were introduced by Adriana, their mutual friend (now bridesmaid). The first photo they ever took together was on the ferris wheel at National Harbor, MD (pictured above). Their bond has withstood over 14 months apart, communicating long distance from Madison, WI, and New Orleans, LA, to Ashburn, VA. Together, they’ve traveled to more than 15 states, 5 countries (pictured below) and they look forward to taking on the world together! Their story is just beginning. We are so excited to celebrate our union surrounded by our closest loved ones!

Our Story

Engagement: Phuket, Thailand

After nine months of planning (via WhatsApp across oceans and timezones) Darian proposed to Sarah on May 18, 2024 in Phuket, Thailand. She had been ready to say "yes" since Christmas.

While guests are welcome to search independently for nearby accommodations, the Hampton Inn &amp; Suites in Leesburg is our recommended hotel for those who would like to spend the night at the same place as other wedding guests. It's centrally located 5 miles from our wedding venue and 1 mile from downtown Leesburg. Rooms are limited, so please book a room at your earliest convenience. We can't wait to celebrate with you!

Hampton Inn & Suites Leesburg

Travel by air: The closest airport to our wedding venue is Washington Dulles (IAD). From IAD it’s about is a 30 minute drive to our venue. The second closest airport is Reagan National Airport (DCA), which is about an hour drive away and is closer to downtown Washington DC. Travel by car: From Baton Rouge to Leesburg, VA:Take I-12 East to I-59 North through Hattiesburg and Meridian. Continue north through Birmingham and Chattanooga, then take I-24 East to I-75 North in Chattanooga. Merge onto I-40 East briefly in Knoxville, then take I-81 North through Virginia. Near Strasburg, take VA-7 East directly into Leesburg. (There are other ways to go, this is just 1 option). From New Orleans to Leesburg, VA:Start on I-10 East to Slidell, then take I-59 North through Hattiesburg and Birmingham. From there, follow the same route as above: I-24 East to I-75 North, then I-40 East to I-81 North through Virginia. Exit onto VA-7 East near Strasburg and continue to Leesburg. (There are other ways to go, this is just 1 option). From Atlanta, GA to Leesburg, VA:Take I-75 North out of Atlanta toward Chattanooga. Merge onto I-24 East, then take I-75 North again into Knoxville. From there, take I-40 East briefly, then merge onto I-81 North through Virginia. Near Strasburg, exit onto VA-7 East, which leads directly to Leesburg. Details on the locale: <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leesburg,_Virginia" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Leesburg, VA </a>is a quaint little town founded before the Revolutionary War! It has a cute walkable downtown area. If you find time to explore, it's about a 20 minute walk downtown from the Hampton Inn &amp; Suites. If you drive, there are (2) parking garages downtown in addition to limited street parking.

Raspberry Plain Manor offers sweeping views of the sunset over rolling hills and plenty of room to dance as we celebrate the covenant God is forming between Darian &amp; Sarah.&nbsp;Thank you for being there to celebrate with us!&nbsp; A shuttle will depart the Hampton Inn and Suites at 4:30 PM at return later in the evening.

There is a playground for the kiddos adjacent to the pavilion. We will be grilling, chilling, and generally having a good time until it is time to go home.
