What sort of attire should I wear?

Semi-formal to formal wear is perfectly fine. It's safe to say we're relaxed people, but save the white dresses and blue jeans for another day. The temperature for the area can vary especially being on the water. The safest assumption would be for weather in the 70s during the day and lower 50s at night. More importantly, prepare to look great and dress comfortable enough to meet us on the dance floor!

Can I arrive early in order visit other towns in Maine?

Yes, and we highly encourage you to explore if it's your first trip to the area! There are a lot of great things to do in Kennebunkport, Old Orchard Beach, Ogunquit, and Portland. We will also provide a list of some our favorite places to visit, eat, and have a drink. We simply ask you arrive on time for Saturday's festivities and adjust your travel accommodations to avoid any headaches.

How late can I book a room under the room block?

Please don't wait until last minute to book a room. This is a very popular area to visit and the longer you wait. the more difficult and expensive it will be to stay close to the event. Luckily, there are several options for Inns nearby as an absolute emergency, but you have been warned. Finally, to answer the question, the last day to book will be August 17th, 2025.

What do I do if the hotel is full?

As of 8/26/2025, you are able to call the Nonantum and request a room for the McNamara/Jackson wedding. There are three weddings happening that weekend so if they run out of rooms in the next couple of days, please explore the alternative options in the "Travel" section.

Can I bring my children to the wedding?

Yes, all invites will include the names of all those invited, including children. They will also have a children's meal option listed on the invite. Our one ask of those with younger children, please be mindful during the ceremony or other recorded segments of the evening.

Are there kids meals?

Yes, there will be options specifically for kids that RSVP! We will reach out to the parents who plan to have their family in attendance.

Can I bring a plus one?

All invites will include information related to a plus one. If there is no plus one indicated, then the invite is only for the person addressed.

Do I have to post back my RSVP or can I RSVP online?

Please use the pre-paid postage provided for you or the RSVP section on the website to reply. If you lose your RSVP or postage, please text or email us your information before the deadline.

Where is the ceremony?

The ceremony will be held outdoors behind the Nonantum Resort. There will be attendants and signs guiding you from the hotel lobby or the parking lot. If the weather does not permit us to be outdoors, there will be a space indoors you will be directed to.

Where is the reception?

The reception will be indoors after the cocktail hour. The attendants will help you find the entrance and the seating display.

Will there be transportation to and from the venue?

Yes, the hotel will provide additional transportation to and from the hotel after the reception to the after party venue. If you have booked a hotel outside of the Nonantum Resort, please inform us in order to coordinate with their staff. However, unless you are informed by us directly we cannot guarantee they will shuttle to other hotels.

Where do I park?

There will be a parking in front of the resort and across the street. A valet will be present to assist you upon arrival and departure.

What time should we arrive?

We ask that you arrive a little earlier in order to find your way to the ceremony space and mingle before you need to be seated. 4:15 PM would be the ideal time to arrive.

Can I take pictures during the ceremony/post on social media?

Please feel free to take pictures with no flash. However, we kindly ask that you not to post on social media. This is special and private event and want to enjoy it with our loved ones.

What food will be served and what if I have dietary restrictions?

We will have a list of options that are inclusive of most people's preferences. Invites will also have a section to indicate food allergies when necessary in order to coordinate with the catering staff.

When does the reception end and will there be an after party?

The reception has to end at 10:30 PM, but the fun doesn't have to end! We will have transportation to and from an after party location. There we can continue to enjoy the night and celebrate!
