One of my favorite memories with Gabby is from when we were about 10 and 6. She would always let me do her nails and hair, and we would love having a "spa day" together--it was something we both loved. As for David, one of my favorite things is his sense of humor. It's subtle and clever, and I find it very amusing. I'm counting down the days to May 31st!

I think my favorite memory with David and Gabby is the birthday party that they threw for me during freshman year. They knew I love baseball, so they invited all of our friends out for an afternoon at the park to play softball and eat some hotdogs wrapped in tin foil. This was my first birthday away from home, and this gesture really made me feel like I was part of a second family at Ave. This was also when I first began to suspect that there might be something going on between David and Gabby… and sure enough, David asked her out like a week later!

My favorite memory of Gabby and David is the first time David came to meet the family right around Christmas, and so Gabby was doing her usual (very intense) decorating and getting pretty stressed out about the snowflakes and lights and everything else. David not only knew all the right things to say to help Gabby not stress out but was tall enough to hang up all the lights without a ladder. I knew he was the right guy for her then!

Although there have been many good and more exciting memories, my favorite times with David & Gabrielle are just the calm, fun, and conversational dinners we've shared at the picnic tables on campus. They are quiet, simple, moments of casual and authentic friendship.

My favorite memory of David and Gabby was when we were boogie boarding on the crazy ocean waves this past July. Then we ate our bird chips on the beach (in the rain??). It was awesome.

The memory that comes to mind is when Maria and I went over to David's apartment when Gabby was gone. He cooked us carbonara, I tried some new beer he had, and I think we played Rummikub. It was a simple evening but a memorable one!

One of my favorite memories of Gabby and David is when David came to visit over Thanksgiving, and Gabby had planned to make quiches for dinner for all 12 of us. But then, her nieces arrived and Gabby, who is completely enamored with them, dropped everything to give them her undivided attention. David calmly and cheerfully kept working away at the quiches, on Gabby's behalf, completely undaunted by the task. Dinner was delicious and Gabby maintained her ranking as (one of) the favorite aunts.

I could say a lot of fun memories I had with my brother David. We played against each other in soccer many times. We would tell some good jokes from time to time. We would also argue a lot because that's what he likes to do since he likes to act as a lawyer and all. The greatest thing I see in him, though, is that he has a good heart and he is a great brother. It was about time he proposed, though, jeez that only took 2 and a half years.

My favorite memory with Gabby and David is when we hiked Mount Kearsarge. David somehow had an endless supply of little airplane snacks in his backpack that he kept offering to everyone, and Gabby fell down the mountain several times while yelling for David to catch her. She also kept picking mushrooms and throwing them at people.

I do not recall exactly how it started, but somehow in the early days of David and Gabrielle's relationship, I found myself sitting on the couch at home engaged in a text exchange with David about the metaphysics of pistachio shells. We were talking about form and matter, substantial change and accidental change, as well as many other philosophical concepts applied to those (seemingly) insignificant shells. David did not know it at the time, and we have since had many in-person interactions that have confirmed my suspicions, but I decided then and there I liked this guy and would be very pleased if he married my sister.

My favorite memories with Gabrielle are the times, particularly sophomore year, that we would rotate between our dorm rooms, having one on one time regularly, while drinking tea and embroidering together. I felt like I really got to know her during those times and they strengthened our friendship to be what it is now.

One of my favorite memories with David was on his sister's birthday our first year at Ave. We went out on a walk late that night and ended up sitting on the bank of a small retaining pond and talking while tossing stones into the water. It was nice to spend one on one time with David. And it was also fun to come across the people having a bonfire in the swamp on the way back.

One of my favorite memories was the first night when Gabrielle, Rebecca, and I first moved in together. We stayed up late just listening to stupid songs and unpacking, it was a great time!

My favorite memories with David were the road trips that just he and I would take to Idaho to visit our older sister and her husband and kids. This trip was a yearly tradition we started that took place every December. These were great times where we bonded on the long car ride telling jokes, talking philosophy, sharing about our lives and talking about girls. Good times...

My favorite memory of Gabby is actually a group of them. During freshman year, Gabby and I, along with others, would take sunrise walks to the Annunciation statue on Ave Maria Blvd. She loves to share the beauty she sees with everybody. That turned into sunrise coffee dates in Sophomore and Junior year where we got to dive into each other's lives and witness the beauty of God's creation together. She is so intentional and kind and I will forever cherish these times we had together because she teaches me how to be a good friend and a good Christian. Now, whenever I see a sunrise, I think of her and those coffee dates which always puts a smile on my face.

Some of my favorite memories of David are when I was a little kid and he would always be the one to encourage me to eat my dinner and clean my room. At the time I considered him to be the mean one but looking back I realize that he was actually a great brother. He led with a good example and he guided me through life. If it wasn’t for him then I probably wouldn’t be the young man I am today. What can I say except that I’m grateful to God for giving me a brother like him.
