The Arts and Design district is home to many small art galleries, restaurants, and odd life sized statues (can't miss them!). A perfect place to go for a snack, drink, or ice cream. You can follow David's lead and stop in the Pint Room for a huge variety of beer and then Bub's Burgers for a Big Ugly hamburger (featured on Man vs Food). Or you can follow Kaia's lead and get some gourmet pizza at Bazbeaux Pizza, then grab some ice cream from either Bub's or Auntie Em's and window shop the art galleries and shoppes.
Need to get a run in? The Monon trail is a great path that you can pick up right in downtown Carmel. Several miles of trail that runs north/south, a favorite spot of David and Kaia's for early morning jogs (before brunch at Bub's!!!)
Saturdays 8 to 11:30 AM... because what else are you going to do when killing time before the wedding? Stroll Carmel's downtown, get some awesome pastries, and check out some local Indy vendors. Easy parking adjacent to the market. One of the several places David's gotten fresh cut flowers for Kaia around the city...
Want to beat the heat? Head over to Carmel's water park and ride the lazy river, try out their surf machine, or ride one of their water slides! (Will have to purchase day pass)
Have little ones that need to burn off some energy? Take them to this neighborhood park and let them climb, swing, and run until they're worn out! Don't have little ones but looking to get out and stretch your legs but don't feel like dealing with the sometimes crowded Monon? Take a stroll around the nature pond behind the park.
Uh oh, forgot your belt or shoes? Clay Terrace is an outdoor mall just up the road that has a good variety of shopping (and eating!).
