There are many options for guided tours or equipment rentals. The section of the Gunnison River near Crested Butte/Gunnison is usually pretty mild, depending on snowmelt levels.

The region has many trails of varying difficulties, but please be aware of the altitude - the town of Crested Butte is at 8,885 feet, and many of the trails are much higher. Bring plenty of water!

The Crested Butte area has very little light pollution, and thus has incredible night sky viewing! There are many places to go enjoy the stars, but Hartman Rocks Recreation Area is one of the best, and it's incredibly easy to get to.

This 18 hole course begins on the southwest corner of the Big Mine Warming House. The course then meanders back and forth across the west section of Big Mine Park. Keep your eyes open while searching for your disc in the rough; you may find some historic mining artifacts! Every hole is a par 3.
