The Manor House History
Built in 1914 by Chicago businessman, John Charles Shaffer, The Manor House sits on the highest portion of the 2,600+ acre estate in the foothills of Colorado. Visitors of the mansion include Theodore Roosevelt, William Taft and Warren Harding. The 110 foot flagpole behind The Manor House has a light at the top that was originally battery operated. The light could be seen from Denver through the saddle of the Dakota Hogback and when lit, was an invitation to the social community to come join the Shaffers for a grand celebration.
Now a historic mansion, we are excited to have our family and friends join US for our very own grand celebration!
