Our love story began in March 2016 at Miller’s Bar & Grill in Lafayette, Colorado when a handsome man greeted a beautiful woman for the very first time (after chatting online). After an evening filled with laughter and story-swapping, he walked her to her car and kissed her. The magic began…including a visit back to Miller’s to celebrate their one-year anniversary on the same stools where it all started!

Fast forward to June 2021 when the handsome man planned a romantic getaway to Estes Park, Colorado. Her goal: to find a moose! His goal: to keep the ring hidden. That first evening, they watched the Colorado Avalanche lose in the second round of the playoffs…again (wait a sec…that’s romantic? To them, it is.)! The following day, he took her to feed the chipmunks, sight-seeing, shopping, and horseback riding through Rocky Mountain National Park. No moose.

The evening ended with a private photographic sunset tour of Rocky Mountain National Park and while at Alluvial Falls, he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. She said yes and knowing that the family heirloom ring would most likely not fit her finger, he pulled out a necklace for her to place the ring on. After the happy tears stopped and the champagne was poured, they toasted their lives together. But still no moose. Until…as they drove out of the park, he spotted it…a moose! She risked life and limb to get close enough to take a picture.

Once back home, she took the ring to the jeweler to have it sized. He met her there so HE can put the ring on her finger for the very first time. And the magic continued…
