November 10th, 1975, the Edmond Fitzgerald sank into Lake Superior killing all 29 men aboard. To honor these men, David (tries) to drink 29 beers in their memory on the night of the 10th. While attempting this memorial in 2020 David sent Anna a message asking for dinner and a date. After a few weeks, Anna agreed, and we met for dinner in mid-December 2020. 5 years later, we think we owe all our Thanks to the Edmond and it's crew.

November 10th, 2023, was when David planned to propose at the Edmond's memorial in Duluth, but against many attempts to plan the trip, Anna refused to go because it was Emery's (Anna's Sister) final high school swim meet. Instead on January 1st, while we were checking on the Brouwers family cabin in Brainerd, a much less suspicious location he asked the big question. Now here we are!
