Cabins are NOT reserved in a block and will be sold on a first come, first serve basis. While it is the off season, there are other events in Brainerd this same weekend so dont hesitate to book if you prefer a cabin. Cabins will not receive a discounted rate as part of the wedding but if you fill the cabins, some actually come out cheaper per couple vs the hotel style rooms. Cabins can be booked through the Cragun's website.
Is a 2 night stay required.
No! While Cragun's does typically require a minimum 2 night stay, they are allowing the Lakeside Lodge guests to only stay a single night if you'd rather do that. If the website doesn't allow you to book just a single night, please call to book. Let Anna/David know if you have any further booking issues.
Do I need to stay at Cragun's?
Nope, but we love all the lodging options at Cragun's and once you're on the property you'll never need to leave. So honestly, whatever works best for you. Cragun's has so many options from hotel style rooms, which are very recently updated, various cabin options, and also houses to rent. The housing is not on the same property and will require driving, but they do offer a shuttle service within the resort properties. We would recommend staying on the main property and being in walking distance of everyone else and our wedding.
Can I check-in early?
Check-in is at 5:00PM (Ceremony is tentatively scheduled for around 4:00PM), if you arrive early there is a chance that you can get into your room if you contact the front desk. With this being a winter wedding, Cragun's is not expecting their hotel to be full on Friday, so early check-in will likely be available for a handfull of guests on Saturday if you are only coming for Saturday night. For guaranteed early check-in there is a $50 fee that can be taken care of when booking your stay.
