Potluck Dinner Details

Potluck Dinner

Sharing food with people we love is important to both of us and is very central our relationship with one another, so we want our wedding meal to reflect that! In that spirit, we have decided to make the food a potluck dinner. The more the merrier - if you are at all able to contribute, we would love for you to! All of our recommendations are Mediterranean cuisine, so feel free to keep it in that general ball park, but if there is a dish you just love to make for potlucks or you aren't inspired by Mediterranean dishes, feel free to add in what your heart desires.

Logistics and Instructions

(These instructions are listed on the spreadsheet as well.)

1. We are expecting 165 people at the wedding.

2. Listed on the spreadsheet are a few options of dishes we would like to see present, but if it looks like all of those are taken and you want to contribute, or if you have another idea, feel free to write in your own in one of the empty cells below.

3. If you sign up for a main dish, we are not expecting you to bring enough of that dish to feed all 165 people. We have divided the main dishes into lines of enough to feed 20 people - feel free to sign up for as many as you like - if you want to just bring enough for 20 people, that's great. If you want to bring more than that portion, put your name down in multiple lines.

4. If possible, we would like to stick to dishes that don't need to be kept warm and can be eaten cold, as the farm has copious refrigeration space but only one microwave.

5. We would also prefer to keep things as vegetarian as possible, however if you have a dish you're really excited about bringing that has meat, there will certainly be other meat eaters present.

6. As the day approaches, we will be reaching out to everyone who signed up with more information and logistics about where and when to drop off the food, what the utensil and labeling needs are, and things of the sort.

7. If you have any questions about this or difficulty signing up, email or text DH at dhstrobel@gmail.com and (971) 707-0975

Dietary Restrictions to Consider

Do not feel that you have to take all of the above restrictions into account as you decide what to bring, several folks who have these dietary restrictions have signed up to bring something, so I'm imagining between everyone, there should be enough food that covers these bases. However!! It will be very very important that if you do bring something that has any of the following in it, that it is clearly labeled & adhered to the dish you bring it in. We have a lot of people who will be eating this meal and it will be coming from a lot of different places, so the more clear that we can be about what is in each dish, the better. As you can see, some of these allergies are pretty serious, so let's do the most that we can to take care of each other and mitigate risk!
