Thursday Evening

Thursday, June 13, 2024
Attire: Come as you are
If you are on the Island Thursday evening, we would love to see you. Scott and I will be grabbing our dinner at the Albatross around 5:30 or 6. The Albatross is a super casual, yummy burger place. It has been voted the best burger in Door County! They are known for their burgers (obviously) and their ice cream. If you are craving deep fried cheese curds, they have you covered. There is a Tikki Bar behind the Alby where you can get adult beverages. To order dinner, you walk up to the window and order and then find us at the picnic tables. It is open mic night at the Alby so we will have music! Pop by for your dinner or just to say hello. You will want a sweater or sweatshirt before the evening is over. If you are on the Island on Thursday and it is raining, text one of us and we can let you know the alternate plan. For now we pray for good weather for the whole weekend. The Albatross (or The Alby as the locals say) 777 Main Road, Washington Island, WI 54246

Welcome Dinner

Friday, June 14, 2024
6:00 PM
Attire: Casual
The Welcome Dinner is at 6PM at the Farm Museum. The evening is casual and is essentially outside. We will eat in the barn, and it is a real barn, not a fancy wedding barn. There are farm animals at the Farm Museum, but they are not and and have not lived in the barn where we will eat. We will have a simple supper and a microphone if anyone wants to share a story. If you are coming to the Island on Friday and won’t be there before 6, just let one of us know so we can keep food ready for you when you arrive. The Farm Museum is a pretty cool place. Feel free to come at 5 or whenever to enjoy the Museum. It is open air. There is a kiosk with brochures that explain the museum. Feel free to help yourself to the beverages behind the big barn. If it rains or is cold we will all fit, rather cosily in the barn. If the weather is nice we will have the barn doors open and enjoy the grounds of the Farm Museum. You will likely want a sweater before the evening is over. If you don’t like porte-potties, sorry :) The Farm Museum 1675 Jackson Harbor Rd, Washington, WI 54246

Wedding Day

June 15, 2024
3:30 PM
The Hotel Washington
354 Range Line Road, Washington, WI, 54246, United States
Attire: Semi-Formal
The ceremony will begin at 3:30 so please plan to arrive around 3 to get seated before the ceremony begins. The ceremony is in a lovely field and a 5 minute walk (1/4 mile) down the road from the hotel. This lovely field does not have an address, but the hotel does. You can park at the hotel or on the street near the hotel and walk south to the wedding location. Or you can park at the Red Barn (parking on both sides of the road) and walk a minute or two south to the ceremony location. The Red Barn doesn’t really have an address- gotta love small towns. It is just south of the hotel. There is a beach on the right side of the road and the barn is on the left. You can park on either side. Please do not park at the marina (parking spots near the big metal buildings). After the wedding we will lead a ‘parade' to the hotel and the reception. The Hotel Washington 354 Range Line Road, Washington Island, WI 54246. Dress: Semi Formal All events are outside-ish, so plan accordingly. Outside-ish means that we will be in either a barn, a tent or outside. We will have heaters in those location if it is chilly, but none of our events are being held in proper structures with insulated walls. Just about everything is taking place in the grass, so ladies, plan accordingly with your shoes. The reception is at the The Hotel Washington and you are welcome to go inside to warm up or use the facilities. No gifts. Your friendship & presence mean so much to us.
