We are thrilled to announce that the stunning Armada Hotel will be hosting our ceremony and reception! We can't wait to celebrate our wedding at one of the most beautiful and renowned hotels in the country!
To secure your reservation please call the hotel directly. Keep in mind, they are 6 hours ahead if you are calling from the states.
The Bellbridge Hotel is just a three-minute drive from the Armada, offering stunning ocean views, delicious cuisine, and exquisite accommodations.
We have not set up a formal room block but their rates are very reasonable.
The Armada Cottages are conveniently located within walking distance of the hotel. This is a great option for a group staying together. While we have not arranged a block rate, we wanted to provide this as an alternative option for your stay.
These self-catering cottages offer flexibility, and you can easily access the hotel's dining facilities if desired or there are a couple of large grocery stores in Milltown Bay (approx 3 km)
Navigating transportation in a foreign country can be challenging! There are numerous routes to choose from when traveling to Spanish Point from both Dublin Airport and Shannon Airport.
Dublin Airport is the most convenient option for flights from the United States. If you're traveling from MSP, most flights include one stop, with a total journey time of approximately 8-10 hours.
For those looking to fly closer to our wedding venue, Shannon Airport in County Limerick is another option. Located about an hour from our destination (compared to a 2.5-hour drive from Dublin), Shannon offers proximity but typically involves more stopovers, resulting in travel times averaging 17-19 hours. The choice is yours—select the option that best suits your travel preferences and desired Irish adventure. We’re so excited to celebrate with you at our wedding!
Flying into Dublin: Travel Options
1. Fly into Dublin and Rent a Car
If you’re up for a scenic 2.5-hour drive across Ireland, this is a great opportunity to explore the breathtaking Midlands region along the way. Here are a couple of car rental services we recommend, both offering full coverage:
For those new to driving on the left side of the road, we suggest opting for a smaller, automatic car for an easier driving experience.
2. Public Transportation & Trains
Ireland boasts excellent public transportation options throughout the country. From Dublin Airport, you can catch a train to Ennis, the largest town near our wedding venue. However, please note that this journey will take approximately six hours from Dublin to Spanish Point. 3. Private Transfers & Drivers:
For those who prioritize convenience and are open to investing a bit more, private transfers are an excellent option.
Blacklane serves as a dependable alternative to traditional taxis, offering seamless transportation from Dublin Airport to the Armada. They also provide spacious passenger vans for larger groups.
Tony Woods Chauffeur is based out of Ennis but will pick up at any airport and is available for tours, and executive hire.
Executive Tours Ireland specialize in small escorted group tours and family tours throughout Ireland and goes the extra mile.
