1. What time should I arrive to the ceremony?
Please arrive any time between 4 and no later than 6pm. You may join us early if you would like to help set up, or just hang out and enjoy the view. Text Denise or Josh for more info on set up, daytime activities :)
2. What is the dress code?
The dress code for the wedding is "rustic chic"—elegant yet relaxed with a down-to-earth charm. Guests should wear stylish, polished attire with a touch of countryside flair. Consider options like a blazer or vest with dress pants or chinos, or a charming dress, a graceful jumpsuit, or a dressy blouse with a skirt or trousers. Please avoid everyday wear such as shorts and tank tops to help maintain the special ambiance of the occasion.
3. Will the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception take place indoors or outdoors?
The ceremony is planned to take place outdoors, but should the weather be chilly, wet, rainy, or windy, we have a beautiful wine cellar on the property that we may use as an alternative. It will also be open during the reception for anyone who wishes to savor its ambiance.
4. What will the weather be like?
In late October in Camino, California, the weather is often a charming blend of mild and crisp autumnal grace. Daytime temperatures typically linger in the mid-60s to low 70s, perfect for savoring the day like a fine vintage, while evenings can cool down to the mid-40s to low 50s. The climate is generally dry, though a hint of rain is possible as the region transitions into its fall season, adding a touch of character to the harvest ambiance.
5. What will your wedding-day timeline look like?
Here’s the plan for the evening, seasoned with a dash of whimsy and a splash of wine-inspired delight: Shortly after guests arrive, the ceremony will commence as the sun gracefully sets, casting its golden glow in the early twilight hours. Following the vows, we’ll uncork a delightful evening with food and drinks while savoring the live tunes of the duo “Manzanita”—plus a couple of specially selected tracks by the bride and groom. While official toasts and speeches aren’t on the itinerary, don’t worry—spontaneous celebrations are sure to pop up like bubbles in a sparkling wine. The cake will make its grand entrance once we’ve savored our dinner to the fullest. The music and bar will wind down at 9 PM. Cheers to an evening of joyous revelry!
7. Is there parking available at the wedding venue?
Yes, there’s plenty of parking at the Chateau Davell—enough space to park a whole fleet of limousines or even a vintage vineyard van! Just remember, while the parking is ample, the wine might be flowing freely, so please don’t drink and drive. We want everyone to have a great time and make it home safely!
8. Can I bring my kids?
We’re looking forward to a night where the only “grape juice” will be of the fermented variety, and the only “squeals” will come from toasting glasses. So, please leave the little ones at home and get ready for a grown-up evening of wine and revelry!
9. What type of food and drink will be served during the cocktail hour and reception?
Get ready to indulge at our cocktail hour and reception with a spread of Italian cuisine that’s sure to make even a nonna proud, including vegan and vegetarian options so everyone’s happy. We’ll be pouring wine straight from the Chateau Davell’s own vineyards, alongside a variety of locally brewed beers—because nothing pairs better with good food than a bit of local craft. It’s going to be a feast that even your taste buds will be dancing!
11. Will there be an open bar?
Yes, there will be an open bar—well, kind of! We’ll start with wine from Chateau Davell and a selection of locally sourced microbrews. Once our supply starts running low, we’ll switch to a cash bar, where you can also find some wines and beers that aren’t included in the open bar (cards are accepted, so no need to bring a money belt). Just a heads-up: outside alcohol is prohibited by the venue’s liquor license, so no sneaking in secret stashes of tequila or any other spirits! Cheers to enjoying every last drop and exploring a few extras!
13. Can I take pictures during the ceremony to post on social media?
Please put your phone on silent and tuck it away during the ceremony—think of it as a digital detox for the vows! Once the party starts, unleash your inner photographer and snap away to your heart’s content. And don’t forget to tag us in all those fabulous shots—because we want to see the proof that you were there and that our dance moves are as legendary as we claim!
15. When is the RSVP deadline?
September 10th 2024
Can I bring a guest?
Unfortunately, we are restricted to a very limited number of guests which has been filled by mostly immediate family. Please only RSVP for those listed in your invite. Message me if you believe someone should be added and we will try to accommodate or add people if others are unable to attend. Also if someone in your group is unable to attend please notify Denise or Josh asap as there are many more people we wish to invite. Thank you.
