Our Wedding

While there are tons of ways to meet people nowadays, we met while working in college at McDonalds. We were both working nights to make some money and we happened to work the same shift all of the time. We worked together for almost a year and started hanging out outside of work. We would frequent parks around the Cleveland area as well as hanging out with each amongst a group of friends. On a fall weekend spent in Washington D.C. and Maryland, our relationship went official.

The Beginning

Just after a month of dating, Tyler had an opportunity to move to Columbus for work. This was a tough decision for both of us but we vowed to make it work. We had a long distance relationship until six months later when Denise found a job at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. That summer, we moved in together to our apartment where we have lived since. Both of us have met many great people in Columbus and we both love visiting the parks around town, attending a game or hanging out at one of the many breweries we like to frequent.

Cleveland to Columbus

One of our favorite activities to do with one another is traveling. We especially enjoy traveling to and exploring the National Parks around the United States. We have gone solo to Arizona, Utah, Nevada and California and we have gone with friends and family to Washington, Oregon, Maine, West Virginia and Virginia. We enjoy the great outdoors and seeing the many different landscapes that are so different than Ohio.

Traveling Adventures

Denise continues to work for The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center as a Supply Chain Coordinator where she has been for seven years. Tyler contiues to work for Homage as Licensing Product Coordinator where has been now for nine years. Denise and Tyler will be celebrating eight years as a couple in September which will be just over one month as a new married couple!

Brewery located on the east bank of the Black River opposite Downtown Lorain. Located six minutes from the church for a stop between the ceremony and reception as well as a 17-minute drive to Avon to the reception and hotels.

Lorain Brewing Company and Event Center

Located directly off of I-90 in Avon, great place for a drink/dinner the night before the wedding day as well as a great stop between the ceremony and the reception. Six minute drive to the reception and minutes from all of the hotels in Avon.

Denise & Tyler's Favorite Local Places of Interest

If arriving early Friday or looking to exercise early on Saturday or Sunday, French Creek is a favorite park of Tyler and Denise located minutes from Avon off of Route 611. Entrance off of 611 leads to the Nature Center with miles of trails or entrance off of French Creek Road leads to a road that ends at a large playground for kids to play.

Located 15 minutes east of Avon in Bay Village, Huntington Beach Reservation is a great spot for a morning stroll as well a great sunset spot. Beach is located across the street from Cahoon Park and boasts miles of trails. On a clear day, downtown Cleveland is in clear view.

Located just west of Downtown Lorain on scenic Route 6, Lakeview Park has a great beach, trails to walk and is a great sunset spot with great views of the historic Lorain Lighthouse.

Cleveland is only a 28 minute drive from Avon on I-90 with lots of activities for those that arrive into town before Friday, early Friday, or looking to do something Sunday before heading home. Denise and Tyler's favorite spots are the West Side Market, Edgewater Beach, University Circle, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and The Jake (Progressive Field). For sports fans, the Guardians play the Minnesota Twins the weekend of the wedding.

Located in neighboring Westlake, Crocker Park is the popular outdoor mall in the area boasting many stores and restaurants.
